Combination Lock BeskooHome Security Padlock - [2-Pack] Weather Proof Padlock with 4-Digit Smooth Dial for School, Gym, Outdoor Shed Locker -Black

Perfect

I've been keeping my eye out for a decent padlock as i've recently put up a new gate at the side of the house and needed a padlock to lock it securely (see pictures) and I came across these! - At first I thought that the price was for just one, which I was expecting to pay, but then I saw it was for two! - I'm amazed just how good these are for that sort of price, they're excellent quality, very well designed and manufactured, simple to change the default four digits to your own numbers, the instructions were very clear to understand and I changed my number in a matter of seconds! They're also a handy size so can be used for lots of different reasons, the packaging was very basic, just a brown box, but that wasn't a problem, I wanted a good quality padlock, not a fancy box (which probably costs you much more with a lot of companies) they're also waterproof, which I know is obvious but some i've had in the past weren't, even when I thought they were and of course went rusty! All in all I really like these padlocks, great quality for the very competitive price tag, do the job well, easy to use and I recommend them highly to anyone looking for a new padlock, if you get these you will not be disappointed!

For the price these look good quality, very easy to set your own code number , bought them for my sheds. Recommed. Update... into january i.ve had to spray wd40 into both locks just to keep them from jaming... but still working well... good value.. recommend Another update.. origional locks still going strong... put new fence n gate up... n bought the same locks again... well pleased with them... keep spraying light oil in them due to weather... but they still work 100%👍

IMPORTANT: Like anything, these are 5* when used for their ideal purpose but they won't do everything! These locks are medium-weight. Great for when you need to deter someone from attempting to get into your locker/shed/cupboard/toolbox. However, they won't stand up to a concerted effort to break them. So probably not the best for high-value items that a thief will spend uninterrupted time trying to steal. The instructions are surprisingly clear and easy to follow for the usual 'translated-from-Chinese' effort. I love that I can lock/unlock these with one hand when necessary due to the wide, textured section giving good grip. The dials are sturdy and the numbers easy to get into alignment. Like all locks in this price range, they're not designed for you to change the combination every day. You buy them, set your chosen combination, and then leave it alone. Changing the combination is the 'high risk' period for damaging the dials and mechanism and is when you're likely to subsequently encounter issues with them where they won't unlock. I can't comment on how well they stand up to harsh weather as I'm only using them indoors or very briefly outside. So, back to my first sentence - these are great locks for the right purpose. Think general security, indoors or protected outdoors, and with no need to keep changing the combination. Absolutely ideal for gym lockers, office supply cupboards, home medicine boxes etc.

Very easy to setup would recommend this item good quality.

It does its job well, and I have no major complaints. I would not say it is the sturdiest lock, so I would not trust it for high-value items, but for temporary use like at the gym or locking up things of low value, it works perfectly. It is a good basic padlock that gets the job done and its cheap.

Great strong locks!

One thing I dislike is that I struggle to hold down the metal hook while setting the new code. I have not fully tested the durability or weather resistance of the lock however given it comes with 2, it means if one fails, I can always use the other. Although it is hard for me to set the combination, I do believe that it is fairly sturdy and is fit for purpose, as I use it to lock my locker at the gym. Much better price than other locks on this site and in my gym.
