Excellent guitar strings!
I am a classical guitarist with about 15-20 years of playing experience. I have tried numerous different strings and makes, and I find these to be the best. What makes these the best?A number of reasons.Firstly they are incredibly reliable. I change my strings about once ever 6 weeks, and in about 10 years I have never had a dud or weak string from the pack. They last an extremely long time. In my student days, I would sometimes keep a set of these on my guitar for 3 - 4 months at a time and, even then, they still sounded reasonably decent. They are cheap. Currently they are about £5.50, which is by far one of the cheapest sets of strings to buy for the guitar. They have a beautiful well-balanced tone that is not overly bright or overly mellow. I find this very important. I play a Ramirez SP Spruce, which has quite a bright sound anyway, and I find these complement the guitar very well. They are easy to play. I use normal tension and I find that you don't have to press very hard to get a beautiful tone from them. They stay in tune reasonably well and settle in very quickly.

Test results!
I've been meaning to do a proper test for twenty years and I finally got around to it. I sat down with two classical guitars (a bad one and a good one) and eight different sets of strings, including the pro arte ej45s and spent all day trying out all the combinations. The most noticeable differences were all on the treble strings. My good guitar has a sweet spot on the treble strings between the 7th and 12th frets. Only the ej45s and one of the cheap brands brought out the sweet spot, but the ej45s brought it out best. Also, only the ej45s gave an attractive sound on a slow slide. Therefore I am finally, completely converted - these are definitely the best strings for my style of playing. I like to play romantic, melodic stuff mainly - so 19th/20th century classical and fingerstyle jazz. I think possibly for renaissance pieces I might go for a different brand, but for melodic pieces where you really need to bring out some warmth and resonance eg Tarrega's Adelita, these strings are fantastic, on my guitar anyway. Of course, every guitar is different.... By the way, I found that on the bad guitar it didn't really matter what strings I used. But it seems like a good guitar needs good strings...

Love the sound, but worried about the longevity
LOVE the sound but I had the same pack previously but after a month or so the G string. To be fair i had recently moved to UK from a warm country. and my rooms temp would constantly change and drop. i bought them again since the sound is so warm and lovely but ill keep an eye out and keep my review up dated!

Stable after couple of weeks, durable strings
Guitar teacher recommend for changing 3/4 Yamaha guitar strings it has been a few months passed and no issues at all. Safely passed grade 5 exam recently with it.Same with all strings it takes about 2 weeks to settle and afterwards stable sound no need to tune so often.
