How much do the mealworms weigh without the tub

No idea - but 5 litres is not that much. Just think of 5 litre bottles of milk. Next time I buy mealworms I will buy 35 litres, which is really good value.

They do have a date but it should have at least 18 months left on them when received.

What is the weight of 5 litres?

Including the tub it's around 1KG. So a estimated guess of the product would be around 500 / 600 grams

The tub arrived damaged/split and lid broken so meal worms everywhere. I'm trying to contact the seller

I must admit I decanted mine into a different bucket as the top of the container had a slight split under the lid, but I didn't contact the seller, as they weren't damaged and I was so impressed with the size and quality I will buy them again.
