Celeste High Sleeper Loft Bunk Bed, 4ft 6 Double

First off, these guys use an excellent courier company with really good communication that gives you a half day and ultimately a half hour delivery time slot: this really helps and means you're in a good mood when the bed arrives. The bed is flat packed in three boxes, and the sheer number of pieces is quite daunting at first, particularly the hundreds of screws etc, but the instructions are mostly clear (read them all before you start!!!) and once you get your head round it all it's fairly straightforward. Some of the screws are very hard work by hand (in particular the bed slats) so maybe an electric screwdriver would help? The key move when you join the two end boards to the four back rails is interesting and leaves you wishing for several extra hands. It took two of us about three hours to fully assemble this bed, working in a leisurely and incompetent way and having several cups of tea. The end result is an impressive looking loft bed which is actually much sturdier than we were expecting: there is some movement obviously (it's a very top heavy structure of course) but nowhere near as much as we feared and we don't expect we will need to do anything drastic like anchoring it to the wall. We are very pleased with everything: a good product, faultless service and excellent value.

The bed frame is great value for money, sturdy but installation took over 3 hours. There is only one spacer provided for ensuring that the slats are equally spaced apart which was the most time consuming part of the installation.Other than that, the bed frame itself is very sturdy and can sleep 2 people, albeit a bit creaky and wobbly (without wall brackets), but is to be expected with the height of the frame

My daughter absolutely loves her new bed. It's the perfect size for her box bedroom, giving her plenty of space underneath for her desk etc. It looks great and feels like solid wood. The only downside is that some of the screws were already rounded meaning we couldn't put them in properly so we couldn't tighten the bed. Some parts had also cracked or had massive knicks in them. Thankfully the company that sells through amazon also includes a leaflet/booklet that has step by step on how to replace these items through the website. We did this and had a new screws and 4 different parts of the bed resent with minimal hassle. Absolutely recommend.

Absolutely terrible to build , especially with the booklet they send instead of instructions !!!

Too build is complicated, for the price I think I could get better !Is moving to much and is not for 2 people because max weight is 108kg … I mean is a double one so must be more then that …I don’t think is safe

We bought this bed for our daughter who is 8. She loves to play with her toys in her room and this was a way to give her more space. The delivery was excellent - kept us fully informed, with a call to say they were half an hour away as promised. The instructions were ok, one thing to point out is that when you are attaching the vertical bar that is the brace for the horizontal bed surround (where there is the gap for the ladder) it says to measure from what is the foot of the bed. However, it is best to put one horizontal surround in with one person holding this up and then position the vertical brace as a centimeter here or there will mean it doesn't fit and we had to re-drill the holes.But we got the bed up in 2 -3 hours so not bad. The wood is raw and so will need sanding/rubbing down in places, we painted the bed - first before it was put together with a spray gun and then rubbed down and painted again with quick dry furniture gloss. This took about a day in total with me balancing on a couple of pillows on the slats to paint the inside of the bed. But as it was for my young daughter I didn't want any rough edges left. The instructions say to paint after building, but as long as you are careful not to paint over the colour markers or the drilled holes you should be fine.My daughter is over the moon with the bed and the play space she has now. We haven't secured it to the wall as yet, we may do but it is sturdy enough for such a small person without. I have been on with her and feel quite comfortable, I agree that this would happily cater for 2 average adults. So for the price we are really pleased with the bed- and other children have seen it and are asking their parents for one too.

Super bed, feels nice and sturdy and has created space for my teen to pop her TV and a sofa under so she's not slobbing in bed all the time 😆 good height would fit a shorty wardrobe under. Parts are colour coded at edges making it easy to identify each part. I built it alone with a 2 Yr old 'helping' by using the wall to hold pieces but another set of hands would be useful while placing the 3 side bars in. Can be built in a room the size of the bed plus room for your hand to turn the bolts (or a drill with an Allen key attachment as I used to speed things up) took around 10mins to organise the parts, 30mins to build the frame and then 15mins to screw all the slats on, again all with a handheld drill. Super quality and not much movement once put together. Ladders are at a good angle so don't take up too much space but still easy to climb.
