CRAFTSMAN Heavy Duty Reverse Squeeze Stapler (CMHT82643)

This stapler is a good one. It took us a few times to staple from the 'other' end. As we are old school.. (It does say -'reverse squeeze') I like it very much. Even with arthritis in my 71 year old hands, I find it easy to use. I am not saying that it doesn't take some strength. It does. But it is manageable. And it staples well. Even the staples load differently. We went to load the staples - and hmmm. It says not to put staples at that end, right on the stapler! *chuckle* It is easy to load and there has been no jamming of the staples. Craftsman is a good brand.

The end that you push down on, is the same end the staple comes out of. Genius. Plus its super light because its plastic. Some people might not like the plastic, but this stapler is much less fatiguing than a traditional metal stapler.

Works great for a LIGHT duty staple gun. Not for heavy duty applications. You’re not going to be able to use this for big jobs. But for that once in a while job, it’s fine. I’ve used it a couple of times for tacking down some carpets and hanging some signs. Works great for that. The grip takes a bit of getting used to. It’s completely opposite of a traditional staple gun.

My mistake when I first ordered this. I wasn't paying close enough attention and ended up buying staples that were not actually for this stapler. That being said, this stapler with hold stand T50 Staples. The build quality, let me real, it's craftsman with a forever warranty. As far as versatility goes, I'll just these things from everything like hanging shooting targets, to dry wall or even temporary fences. There's a ton of versatility when it comes to what you can do with an industrial T50 stapler. It also has a nice little safety feature where it allows you to lock the handle in position to avoid accidental firings or misfires. My one concern is about its longevity. It's mostly made of plastic, and if it weren't on sale for $10 I probably wouldn't have bought it. I've had a metal stapler that lasted from when I was a kid all the way through adulthood until I lost it in my last move. That being said, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Make sure you have the T50 nails - my mistake and I bought the wrong nails, couldn't figure it out, etc.. made me feel like I could have been smarter than the stapler, but I'll admit, the stapler had a +1 on me and I had to replace my staples, lol. I'm not sure how much force these truly have going into them. I had two 1/4 boards that I was trying to connect and, while the staples were going about halfway through the two boards (I was trying to pinch them together for target practice) and I still had to hammer some of the staples down into the other boards. I'm not sure if this is a board issue, a stapler problem, a me problem, or what the case may be, but for now I will be keeping it. It was on sale for only $10, so I figured that if it did break I'll just dump it on their receptionist's desk while ignorantly demanding a brand new one, lol.

Suddenly, I wasn’t questioning its build — I was questioning every life choice I made before owning this thing. I bought it to stretch canvas for painting, and it nailed (well, stapled) the job perfectly. My canvases are drum-tight now — you could probably bounce a quarter off them. I even found myself looking for more excuses to use it: reupholstering a chair, fixing a loose carpet edge, possibly defending my home if things get weird. Is it the most premium-feeling tool ever? No. But for the price, it’s a downright steal. Think of it as that scrappy underdog tool that doesn’t look fancy, but shows up every time ready to work. If Michelangelo had this, some of his famous works might’ve been stapled instead of painted. And honestly, I’d respect that. **Bottom line:** It’s light, reliable, and surprisingly satisfying to use — proof that not every hero wears a cape; some come in red plastic.

I love this thing! Should have bought it a long time ago. No more hammering in staples that are left sticking out. Highly recommend this one. Can't speak to durability yet. I've only used on one project. Will update if any updates worth noting.

Heavy duty- don’t try to use for crafting in a daycare classroom! LOL! I bought this because I was sick of the staplers that kept getting jammed. Then realized this one was better suited for my fiance.

I loved the idea of light weight and reverse so hopefully it would be easier on my arthritic hands. I like the red and black but there's light weight and then theres just cheap plastic. I loaded it up (and I use a staple gun regularly) and gave a couple shots and it immediately got jammed. Pulled out the culprit staple one more shot and stuck again. This time no staple I could see but the handle just wouldn't press again. I am disabled and it's hard for me to get somewhere to return and given the price it wouldn't be worth the hassle so I'm just out the money. I can't even say this would be good if you just needed an inexpensive gun for the once in a while use because I didn't even get that out of it before it just wouldn't work again. My very dependable regular use gun is also a Stanley and I love it so don't blame the entire brand but definitely not a good product good idea bad product. But I still need something easier on my hands so I guess I'll have to look at a different brand this time.

This stapler seems to be reasonably powerful. It is mostly made of plastic hence it is really light and probably not very robust but it drives staples well. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now on a woodworking project and have had no staple jams. An added plus is that it does not take much muscle power to squeeze the trigger.

A little disappointed to find this tool is plastic after being advertised as "Heavy Duty" however it hasn't let me down and is extremely easy to use. Only four starts because of its plastic construction.
