As expected from Premium an excellent quality envelope. One reviewer has stated you can see through them. I thought this odd being 120gsm and ,as you can see from the product photo the inside is lined in blue. I inserted text and photos and even held it up to the light and could not see the content. The envelope (C4) is slightly larger than A4 so A4 documents will fit into it. On some printers the guide slide will only extend to A4 so these may not fit in. No problem, just insert it over the slide and it works fine. If you are looking for quality I recommend these.

Good quality self-seal envelopes. Good quality paper, envelopes feel substantial (120gsm). Even though they say that they are from recyled paper, they have a quality feel about them, and are a nice bright white.Easily hold 12-15 A4 pages. Self-seal strip feels well sealed (but I added a strip of 3M magic tape in any case, just in case.)NO bleeding of ink when I wrote the releavant addresses on the envelope, using an ink-ball pen.It is becoming more and more difficult to buy stationary like this locally from my local supermarkets or the Post Office, so I was pleased to findthese available online.These were good quality, and delivered quickly.Came in a carbard sleeve from the mnufacturer - good protection for shipping and the box will help to hold them togehter while in my home office.I will definitely buy more in the future.

Good quality. 50 envelopes, in a thick cardboard outer for protection in transit that was easy to open and recycle. Have ordered more, in case they're unavailable in future.Postscript added 29th June 2018: over the past month I've ordered ten packs. I use them a lot as they're thicker and sturdier than ordinary envelopes, and the quality has been consistently good pack to pack. Recommended.Postscript added 21st May 2021: Bought loads recently as I'm doing attorney work for a relative - DL and C5 size - bright white, feel smooth, decent weight. They help the business letters look properly businesslike even professional.

A change from my usual brand and less than half the price of those (currently) I decided to try the Premium Pure envelopes as an alternative. I'm rather impressed.The envelopes are good quality and up to the job of going through the postal system in one piece; we often include pre-paid envelopes back to ourselves so it is possible to get a taste of the presentation our clients get at the other end. They still look good, are fully sealed and without any signs of tearing; in other words they give a professional presentation, which is just what is needed.The flap has a peel and seal closure, which means that the glue is less prone to dry out than the press-to-seal types and therefore no need to add any sticky tape to finish the sealing. No easy open tear strip along the side but that was never a must have in my book. The blue interior and thick 120 gsm paper between them ensure that confidential contents are hidden from view, which is so important in the days of data protection.To summarise, these are C4 envelopes, they do not have a window (so you'll need to write the address or print a label), made from good quality 120 gsm paper and they are recycled to boot - although you'd never know it. The paper is a good, bright white and very elegant. Oh, and the box they come in is also rather nicely adorned with a picture of a panda; might just keep that for other things when the envelopes have been used up.

I searched for A4 envelopes, this product comes up under that search. Then, under "customer questions and answers", the conversation is about envelopes, not A4 paper. The reviews for this product also talk about envelopes, not paper. I then received A4 paper, and I see that the title of the product says A4 paper but everything else is about envelopes. This is too confusing, and I can see from the reviews that more people thought they were buying envelopes. The reviews and the questions and answers should be only about this particular product, not whatever else is sold by the same shop.

Why, even when I’m happy to pay a premium price , is it so difficult to find envelopes that have good adhesion? The glue does not go far enough each side meaning the edge of the sealing flap sticks up......meaning I have to use sellotape.

Having bought twice from other sellers on Amazon and received bad quality envelopes, I waited with great anticipation for what I would receive in the post. I was delighted to see that the quality was far better and looked like good standard stationary from WHSmith or any other office suppliers. My only criticism is the length of time for arrival. Delivery was meant to be the following day but never came until the day after that in the evening. So for that I cannot give 5 stars unfortunately.

These envelopes are robust and smart and everything I was looking for but I am disappointed that they are not sealed along the edge - I don’t know if this is done on purpose or whether I have a dodgy batch but I use them for my card making and I am not able to return and not do I really want to so I am using double sided tape to make sure that the contents are secure.
