Looks and feels good - but the spec is insufficient. The latch, when fully engaged (closed) only protrudes from the mounting plate by 15mm. If the gap you are trying to secure is wider that about 1cm (which mine is), this won't work - and anything wider than 5mm will likely be wobbly.

I needed a solid, black vintage looking lock for my front door, to create more safety and this does the job. Also matches one pre-provided with a new front stable door.. This does the job perfectly. Looks more expensive than it was and will last forever. Very pleased. Bought two

This is a good product only criticism is that you need to tighten the grub screw that acts as the retaining guide before fitting otherwise it comes out after you fit it and you then have to take it off but other good for the cost

The first one we received was so stiff that the latch wouldn't slide across without forcing it.The seller sent out another one which seamed to work fine until we put it on a new bathroom cabinet.The bolt is so short that the 2 doors open if pulled at the same time whilst the bolt is across, so not fit for purpose.Nice as a decorative item.
