Good quality
Bought this to replace a fairly decent one that had a plastic fitting. It had started to leak (washer had deformed slightly, I think) and in removing it the thread on the plastic fitting got ripped to pieces. Decided to replace it with one with a brass fitting. This one was a good price, but worked very well. It's quiet and simple.

Quick and simple replacement
The old one became insanely slow to fill the cistern. This was an inexpensive, good quality, easy to fit, part for part replacement.

Drop-in replacement
A drop-in replacement for an older and faulty one that arrived in a day. Comes simply in a plastic bad with all fittings and a simple manual. Though no paperwork is needed, super easy to fit.Wanted to go with a brass thread to make sure I could undo the connection if needed. It could be a bit trickier with a plastic one once tightened.

Hiccup at first but working perfectly now.
Easy to install and positively silent to fill the cistern. Which is a joy after our last noisy, slow one. One slight issue was that the float mechanism wasn’t working at first, and it seemed to stick, which meant it didn’t shut of the inlet valve and water continually drained down into the pan. Anyway, having followed the fitting instructions to the tea, I asked a question to the community and had great support and suggestions. So if you have the same issue- try checking that mechanism isn’t catching anywhere, and has room all around it, secondly lift the float manually and see if the shut of valve works, if it does just give it a bit of a jiggle, and move up and down a few times, it seemed to work for me and just released what ever was catching it. If the shut off valve doesn’t work when you lift it manually, you can assume you have a faulty unit. All else fails ask the community for advise.Goodluck.

Works fine.
Removing old one was a faff as the retaining nut on the plastic feed pipe was difficult to unscrew down the thread and in resrricted space. Buying the brass replacement probably worth the extra couple of quid.Didn't make any adjustment to the height, just fitted as it came out of the box. With the gauze filter left in place it takes forty five seconds to fill.

Value for money
That's twice i've bought SIAMP valves this way and it's quicker and simpler than finding the right one in a plumbers merchant. Valves appear good quality and very simple to fit/adjust.
