Excellent ear plugs, have been using Alpine Sleepsoft for many years
I first bought Alpine Sleepsoft earplugs in my first year at uni to block out the noise of the couple next door... Six years later and I still use them (although not the same pair!).The Sleepsoft 2015 are slightly different to the previous models. In the older model the filter would eventually end up coming loose and falling out, and every morning I'd have to search around my bed to find it and slide it back in. This doesn't happen with the newer version. When you buy this version it also comes an 'ear plug cleaner' although I can't say I've ever used it... I don't think I give my earplugs the love and care they need, but they still last pretty well. These earplugs are reusable and last me several months at a time, they would probably last you much longer than that if you used the cleaner provided/washed them. The earplugs come in a little plastic case with an applicator to help you put them in your ears (I find if I use this I get a snugger fit than if I put them in by hand).I think when people buy earplugs they often have a particular noise that is stopping them sleeping that they want to completely block out (a noisy neighbour, a snoring partner), and then they are disappointed when they find they can still hear the noise through the ear plugs. These ear plugs do not block out all noise, in fact they don't really block out any noise, instead they dampen/subdue the noise. The best way I can describe it is to imagine you are underwater. I can still hear my alarm in the morning, I can still hear my girlfriend if she is talking to me, but everything is muffled. If your partner is a loud snorer you will probably still hear them snoring, but somehow through the filters in the earplug it's just much less irritating.I much prefer this dampening of the noise rather than blocking everything out, as you don't feel so cut off from everything, and in emergencies you can still hear alarms etc.To summarise, if you want to completely block out all noise, these won't do it. If you want to filter out/muffle the noises/make noises you can't do anything about more bearable, then give these a try.

Good but not for sleeping next to someone
I recently tried these earplugs for sleep and found them to be quite comfortable and effective, especially if the noise source is in a different room. I had no trouble sleeping on my side, even with multiple piercings, including a conch, which can be an issue with other earplugs that push on them. However, if your partner is a loud snorer and is in the same room, these earplugs will not block out the noise completely. They do reduce the sound slightly, which can help you fall asleep due to the quieter environment, but after a week, the snoring becomes the new normal, and I find myself struggling to sleep again. I’ll continue to use these as a spare pair or when my partner happens to fall asleep after I do, but for snoring-heavy nights, they aren’t a perfect solution.

Great at cancelling noise but too uncomfortable to wear to bed
I bought these earplugs as I have insomnia and have trouble sleeping through loud noises like fast cars/motorbikes and even quieter noises like rainfall. However, I also use an alarm each morning..the Alpine website recommends these earplugs for that exact purpose, 'Noises such as your alarm clock, doorbell or children can still be heard.' They also claim to be 'Very comfortable due to soft AlpineThermoShape™ material'. The earplugs also have a 'minigrip' feature so that you can easily remove them from your ears, and they also claim to be 'especially designed for (side) sleepers.'I have worn these earplugs for three nights and firstly I must say they are very good at cancelling out noise, some very loud noises can still be heard but not enough to disturb you. However, that's about as good as they get. I could hear my alarm but not enough to wake me up fully so I would not recommended you buy these for that purpose. Mainly I did not find them comfortable enough for sleeping. I am a side sleeper and the minigrip feature was very uncomfortable, they stuck out of my ears too much and pushed against the pillow which lead to me trying to find a comfortable position for a while which was irritating. Although the feature does make it easy to remove the plugs so I would say they would be very practical for day time use but I personally definitely wouldn't recommend them for bed. Maybe a bit of a rebrand is needed? For earplugs called 'sleepsoft' you would expect them to be perfect for sleeping. I'll stick to my regular and much cheaper foam earplugs for the night time as they don't stick out of my ears and I can turn from side to side with no disruptions.

I WISH THERE WERE MINUS FIGURES!!!
Well I will start off by saying that these were recommended as number 1 on three different websites that I looked at - and even though I have never paid this much for earplugs before I was pretty happy that it was a decent buy. However firstly - they provide NO noise blockage, if I can be three rooms away wearing earplugs and STILL hear the TV and have a conversation about it there is a problem!Secondly - the way they work is that you screw them into your ears, not knowing how far you have actually gone in. DANGEROUS. Not to mention Downright painful if laid upon, so forget sleeping with them in.Pair that with lack of clear instructions and the "cleaning aid" simply being a pointy stick, massive waste of money - now I just have sore ears and a suspicion that this may be a fake item - since why would it be rated number 1 if it is so bad?Trying to get a refund...not looking good.UPDATE AFTER SPEAKING TO THE SELLER:Apparently my ear is too big for them, which is why why don't work - I tried these because my ears were too small for all the foam ones!Very rude and short person! I really wish I could give below 0
