Brilliant
Wasn’t sure about buying this based on some of the other reviews, but I’m pleased I did.I have this wired mains side of my pond lights 12v transformer. Test it, and hey pronto, it works brilliantly. There is a small dial inside the unit along with a small push button. They allow you to control how long it stays on for or when it turns on.I wanted my pond lights to come on at dusk, and then switch off in early hours, and not come back on again until the next night. The first night it stayed on all night (learning dusk to dawn I think), but second night turned off in the early hours as I had programmed - and has been in operation without a problem since.Has kept the program I set even after a power cut.All in all, an easy to wire and then use - switch.

Cracking product at a reasonable price considering its quality and features!
Fantastic, I previously had a sensor bought from screwfix for £14 but this broke after a few weeks. So far this has been great, the build quality is good, the instructions easy and clear.Have this running two external up and down LED wall lights, i set it to come on when it gets dark (you can even adjust the light level you want it to come on at) after this initial setting it then learns as the light levels/time changes so that it only comes on with the light setting you initially set (Very clever stuff).I also have it set on partial night eco mode, so basically after around 4 hours it turns off, alternatively you can set it to stay on all night or adjust how long you want your lights on for over night. To conclude, if your looking at this and think its expensive, then your right it is and rightly so, because you get what you pay for.Only time will tell as its only been a few weeks, but with a 3 year warranty I am quite happy I paid more to be honest.

Feels like it is made to last
Works well, straightforward to install. Feels like it is made to last. I have not set the economy mode as the LED lighting is so cheap to run I chose to leave it on all night. The default setting of 1 lux works well - I might adjust it to switch on just a little bit earlier - but working just fine as it is. I would buy the same again if I needed another dusk-to-dawn sensor.

Information Guide requires more clarification
I recently purchased this item to replace an existing Timer and separate Photocell lighting / power control circuit. Whilst the actual device is very compact and relatively easy to connect into a new or existing circuit the Information booklet provided leaves some of the configuration and set up instructions open to speculation e.g. [1]. There are two similar Neutral (N) terminals provided which may/ may not require an external link as no advice is given about whether these are both connected internally. Mine didn't seen to function without an external (N) link. Also there is no advice provided on whether an external override 240VAC connection can be made directly to the switched live terminal (L') - as on my original Photo Cell. In the absence of any circuit diagrams I assumed NOT so to avoid any issues I wired the (L') output to a mini modular 240VAC contactor to fully isolate the device from my existing PIR and Override circuits. This all works fine. [2]. Setting up the unit also has a learning curve - unless you just use the factory settings. Adjusting the twilight setting is fairly straight-forward using the single micro 'button' with a status LED but changing the night economy mode setting using the 'control dial' can give unexpected results - like the OFF time doesn't appear to change from around 22:00hrs to a later time without first resetting the twilight button again. (The device does NOT contain its own internal 24hr clock.) Bearing in mind that any changes involving the twilight button, including first time operation, forces the unit into a dusk to dawn cycle while it determines the respective light levels over time. This means waiting approx. 24 hours with the lighting control circuit switched on ALL night just to see if your changes have worked. This can prove tedious. [3]. The setting for morning hours ON/ OFF also involves use of the same micro button and LED. This may/ may not have an effect on the night economy mode setting - but I'm still experimenting. Overall a very useful device - when configured and set up correctly.

Great item - fit and forget
I used this item to control security lighting. It's great because previously I had to reset the timer constantly due to the length of day changing with the varying length of daylight in Autumn and Spring. After a break in, I now like to have my security lights on during the periods of darkness. My led lighting, I can illuminate my whole properly uing less than 40 watts of power. My only problem with the device was the wiring arrangement which is a push fit. I had not encountered this previously so it was a bit perplexing at first. I fitted another unit for my daughter and both have functioned without issue for 4 years. Would definitely recommend it.

Expensive, fiddly installation, lights on when not needed
This is an expensive unit compared to other solutions. The idea behind it is great, but poorly executed. The installation is fiddly due to the push spring connectors where you have to push the wire into the correct quadrant (which you cannot see easily) for the wire to go in far enough in to be anchored. The construction is poor with a flimsy internal cover held in place by two plastic snap points. I had to detach this to see the correct quadrants to push the wires into. Snapping it back into place did not inspire confidence in the quality. Not all the instructions came in the box. I found a more detailed set on line which I was able to download.Once installed it did not settle down after several days as described in the instructions and other comments. The lights were on in the middle of the afternoon when it was still quite bright.I tried selecting a quite dark moment to reset the light level; it still cam on in the afternoon when the sun was up.Gave it about 10 days overall before replacing it with a Knightsbridge unit which has worked perfectly. Only downside is the Knightsbridge works off a fixed time from dusk.

Interruttore Crepuscolare
