Garbage!
This is the worst product I have ever bought, save yourself the time and money by not purchasing this item!Followed the instructions, threaded it correctly, only for the stitching to not form properly.By the time you have re-threaded it and tried again, you could have sewn it by hand.If you are considering buying this to save yourself some time, seriously, do not purchase it.Complete waste of money and a terrible product, we thought it would be ok with it being a Singer product, but we were mistaken.

Better for an experienced machinist than a beginner like me
I guess it would be okay for those jobs where it would be impractical to use a larger machine, like for instance doing a quick repair on a pair of curtains that are already hung up.It's not the kind of machine that does most of the work for you as bigger machines partially do, no, with this one you are the guider and you adjust the speed at which it does the job with your hand that is holding the machine.I was going to use this to darn some socks that had holes in them. I ended up doing it by hand anyway.I gave it 3/5 because it is okay for someone who has previous experience, I don't and it was quite fiddly to get going initially.Anyway, I am selling mine on as I haven't used it as much as I thought I would. It will be on eBay under 'robbie031986' if you are interested...

Too hard work...
It was ok, I guess I got the stitching job that I bought this for done, but it took for ever...it's really hard to make this thing work, it 's difficult to fit the fabric in and take it out, even more difficult to keep sewing in a straight line. This little machine is not meant for precision work, I would not risk it on my clothes or places where it clearly shows...Also the stitching often unravels at the slightest pull of the thread, and I found myself in the situation of doing and redoing the same area several times to make sure it holds. You will eventually sew your stuff, but be prepared to get frustrated in the process...

Great Little Sewer
I bought this for small, basic sewing jobs. It takes a little practice, after reading the instructions. I wouldn't be without it. Great little item.

Don’t expect this to fix even small seam rip-offs
Bought and returned after about a week’s try. Tried it on torn bedsheet and trousers where the seam had come off. Both results were unsatisfactory. Even with small repairs this product does not perform good enough. The seam comes apart quickly. Could not rely on the seam from this product to last on a trouser while being in the public. Hand stiching them would be much better. Also the battery compartment had some loose contact problem making it very difficult to get it started. One more point, the product works only with 4 AA “1.5 v” batteries. Incompatible with 1.2 V rechargeable batteries of Amazon.

Foreign item
This item came in its box which only had one English word on it ( the word Singer)The instruction was also in a foreign language.I tried using the on-line chat which didn’t help they redirected me to another support team who did not reply to any of my questionsFor the amount of money I paid for the item, I could have got one off the market cheaper and wirh English literature
