If you have a strat with a floppy tremolo arm
These ittle springs are great. They mean you can place the tremolo arm in a position that you want to, without it either being over tight or floppy. Before you order theses however you have to check that the spring will not just fall through the hole where the tremolo arm screws into. Use a cocktail stick to check that the spring will not fall through. The hole will be about an inch or so deep. If the cocktail stick doesn’t stop then the spring will not work. If you need to remove the arm to put your guitar into a case, put a little sellotape over the hole to stop the spring falling out.

So simple, works brilliantly
The trem on my 20 year old strat had definitely loosened in its thread and had developed too much give/movement in the socket before getting any bridge movement. This very simple idea of dropping a spring in to hold the thread of the arm against the thread of the socket is brilliant. Works really well. And cheap too.

A simple idea
I never knew these existed until now. They are a God send. My trem arm, was at max thread, it meant that the arm was at an awkward angle. I saw this recommended to me, I thought, heck, why not? I am so glad I got them.No idea why you get 10 in a pack, I only needed one, anyway, this simple yet effective spring is fantastic, I can put the trem arm in any position and it stays there.

Great Job, Great Price
Ideal to help keep the whammy bar in place, plenty of spares and official product too.Works really well, highly recommended to keep the whammy bar in any position you need.

There’s a reason they come in a pack of 12.
I bought these to keep the tremolo arm in place on my Squire Classic Vibe Stratocaster and they do the job.The spring is stiff so once compressed will stay compressed therefore after a while and depending on how often you move it your tremolo arm may start to slip again, and it it will be time to swap the spring for another. If you have difficulty getting the spring out just push a toothpick into the centre of the spring to pull it out.The advantage of using the spring is you don’t strip you tremolo arm thread.

A spring in your strat
These springs are effective in resolving the age-old "loose tremolo arm" problems with the Stratocaster and work a treat on my 2019 player Strat with the 2-pin bridgeAt £7.65 for 12 they feel slightly overpriced, but I won't round down my rating as they function exactly as expected.Shipping a dozen of them is handy as some will inevitibly be lost, although I would recomend storing them in a small sealable container as they are liable to go missing if kept loose in your gig bag or case. For a simple solution to an irritating feature of the Strat bridge, these springs are highly recommended.

Not suitable on my 2002 MIM Stratocaster
Not sure if my MIM Roland ready 2002 stratocaster has been modified, but these springs passed straight through the trem arm thread and through into the spring cavity and out via the rear cover hole! Thus they didn't work at all - no fault of the springs themselves.Does any one else know if the tremolo arm 5mm thread is drilled all the way through on their strats or should it be a blind hole?

A Great and Cheap Upgrade to Any None USA Strat
Bought these to keep in my guitar tech case for trem units on Strat-style guitars. Just pop one into the trem bar hole on the bridge and they add a little tension to the trem bar so you don't have to tighten it all the way up to keep it in place, the tension of the spring does the work.

Works as advertised, as long as…
As long as it’s a Fender apparently. Fixed the too loose, screw-in trem arm on my 2022 MIM Strat. Fell out of the hole in the bottom of the trem block on my 2005 Squire Strat. I need to screw a bolt into the bottom of the Squire or something to stop that. Also, don’t forget to catch the spring when you take the arm out to transport your guitar in a case or bag. That’s probably why they sell them by the dozen though. Cheers!
