Love it!
I purchased this and its big brother, the Aeos II, for a recent promo shoot in Paris. The Aeos II provided solid constant light, but this little beauty mounted on my hot shoe really saved the day. It's very well made, with excellent control over brightness and temperature. The included filters are a nice touch and came in very handy. It's not as bright as a typical flash, but it is well bright enough to light up a subject several meters away. The portrait shots I took were occasionally slightly over-exposed if anything, so there was no issue with light levels from this device. I was able to adjust in camera RAW, and the results are excellent; magazine quality, and soon to go into print. I will have this with me on all still and film work and I think it's very good value at the price.

Very versatile and quite powerful.
This is a great little light. And quite powerful for its size. I normally avoid multi-colour lights as you don't get the power of single colour equivalents but I made an exception with this one - and I'm glad I did. I've already used the adjustable colour several times and I've even used one of the special effects - which I'd written off as a gimmick. I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to use other effects. I haven't used the flash yet as I use TTL flash normally but I have no doubt it works well. I carry this around with me on every job. Even in daylight it's often useful for putting a little sparkle into my subjects' eyes.

Expensive, but works well
I bought one of these nifty little light units a few months back. I haven't used it that much, but when I have, it's been a great product. You really do need to put lithium batteries in it, because alkaline batteries won't last long at all. The light output is no use in normal sunlight, but in a darker room for example, it's very useful. I shot a promotional shoot using one of these attached to a monopod held over the actor's head for key lighting and it worked very well indeed. You can also add it onto the hotshoe of your camera. It's way more powerful than the little Manfrotto LED lights available. But it's expensive. Not for everyone, but a good piece of kit.

Very bright, well-made and versatile.
Compact and lightweight, I bought this as a fill-in light for video conferencing and presentations. It’s really powerful and spends most of its time at 10%! Build is plasticky (it’s plastic!) but solid. Buttons work well and all I would wish for now is a remote control. Delivery was sooner than promised and the packaging was excellent. Came with filters and a belt case.

Well made and easy to use
I love this - it also comes with various colour filters which are great to give some accents to shots. The only issue I had was that I ordered it last minute for a shoot only to find that in order to trigger the flash function, you need extra items. Luckily my colleague had spare ones. You can of course just use it as a light and hold it over your subject, but I wanted it to take action shots. I found it worked with my regular rechargeable batteries though it recommends using some rather expensive Rotolight ones!

With that said from reviews its light that it produces has a better reputation for more accurate colour temperature than any of ...
Very expensive for what it is, a bunch of LED's sold at a crazy high price. Rotolight must be nuts to think the ordinary joe soap can then go onto purchase a trigger for another 300 quid then bard doors just to be able to mount the softbox all sold at crazy prices. With that said from reviews its light that it produces has a better reputation for more accurate colour temperature than any of the cheaper products such as the Godox LED panels etc. Build quality is OK but the plastic feels like it will crack if it gets a bang or is dropped, would feel better if it was made from more of an impact resisted material (maybe it is made form this stuff but it feels more brittle) The size is lovely, operation is flawless. It says it on the manual and plenty of review sites that this light is NOT suitable for alkaline AA batteries it needs high performance Nimh cells. This is not an exaggeration sticking some shop bought alkalines into it, it lasts about 10mins max and complains of low battery if you ramp up power to past 50% after a minute or two, this is due to Alkaines not suited for high draw where their capacity quickly diminishes, Nimh cells though are better suited to be able to supply enough umph to keep this light working better. I was initially unimpressed with the output of the light when looking at it with the naked eye, but it appears to be enough to use for head/shoulders shots if you ramp up the ISO on your camera when shooting stills. The good: Lovely light, Lovely size, very versatile. Flash mode with PC sync and HSS flash mode with the crazy priced dedicated trigger. The bad: The high price

Brilliant light
The light is really good to use, I had an issue linking it to the Elichrom flash sender and I contacted Rotolight, their customer services is second to non and issues were resolved in a couple of minutes. The light is outstanding to use and I'm sure as I use this more it will get even better for me.

Great Light
Its a great light, lots of features and control. Very bright and super portable. Its rather costly, but since its aimed at a Pro level user, it is what it is.. Love it.. now want more :) I use it with the approved battries and they last ages too, so super handy for long shoots.

good but not great
I put a 5 star cause the item is good but, it is extremely overpriced for what it is! flash will work good if the subject is within 5-6 ft the most, the light is not as powerful as they make it seem. there are definitely better options out there for less $$$. lets not talk about the trigger being ridiculously expensive as well!! great seller though!!
