After reading the reviews I decided to chance purchasing this clock. This clock is probably slightly larger than a standard bedside clock but is not a problem as the face is very clear, the light for night-time use is only on for a second or two. The clock is not heavy but substantial enough and there is no problem with the battery cover. When I see negative reports like there are for this item I wonder what they expect for £13 - gold plated?

Bought this and a travel alarm at the same time. This one worked.The battery compartment is a bit tight, but manageable, otherwise a very good bedside clock.Large dial so easy to read.The alarm is effective, but then thats the point of an alarm.

works with radio signal from some very accurate clock system. updates on its own. nice size clock to see exact time easily. good for bedside or in bathroom as we have it to see the time in the morning. we set other clocks by it now.

Bought this to replace and older radio controlled alarm clock which had become difficult to set the alarm. Inserted the supplied battery and the clock set itself within 20 mins, (it's kept on the bedside cabinet where we know there is a good signal). This is easy to see at night by pressing the night light button on the top, and, as expected, keeps perfect time. Just waiting for British Summer Time to start when the clock should reset itself to BST. Haven't used the alarm yet, (retired).AN UPDATE. After working for about 3 months, it stopped. I changed the battery for a brand new one but it still isn't working. I reported this to Amazon and the problem was passed on to the manufacturer who has not yet contacted me. (A week). I ordered a new different and slightly more expensive clock which arrived yesterday, (ordered on 8th April, arrived 11th April). Still no contact from the seller of the original clock

can't comment on the clock it arrived not working probably due to the fact that the corrier threw it over my 7ft fence, so i had a refund

I read the reviews before buying this and saw that it is SILENT which is why I bought it. I do agree from other reviews that it is rather light-weight but it looks good and tells the time and makes no noise! Really good.

I purchased this clock at the end of December 2016. It's very light and a bit cheap and plasticky looking but it's worked well up until today 2 February 2019 when I noticed the hands going round and round. I changed the battery but it seems to have died altogether. I would also say that it's rather on the large side both for a bedside table and for travelling. It is however very easy to read. Having said that I would highly recommend Clifford James as a first class seller as I've bought other items from them and their customer service is excellent. I haven't contact them regarding this clock as I've had it for just over 2 years with no problems until now.4 FebruaryThis resilient little clock started working again just after I posted my earlier review. When the correct time "reached" where the hands were sitting the clock sprang back into life and re-set itself. I'll leave my full review as it stands as it may help other buyers who experience the same problem.
