WMF60.6856.9990 Sealing Ring Gray 22 cm

My original seal got damaged in the dishwasher and I bought this as replacement one two years ago. The seal is still like new after two years of regular use (couple of times a week) but I do hand wash it. I am not sure what the manufacturer care instructions are but I recommend hand washing all plastic parts of the WMF. They do wear out in the dishwasher. ie the plastic clip-on lid handle and quite costly to replace.

I got a couple of these because I use my pressure cooker for the multitude of beetroots we grow and pickle. You can't get that earthy beetroot smell out of the gasket, so I have a 'beetroot gasket'; also a 'curry gasket' and an 'everything else' gasket.

I must confess I bought this sealing ring to be sure that if the original fails I am not stuck in the middle of some major cooking event unable to continue. I have tested it and it's just fine. I do want to say if anyone reads this sealing ring review the WMF Pressure Cooker is a seriously terrific pressure cooker. Checkout some of the 5* reviews for the P.C. Best I've ever used.

I bought this with the WMF Perfect Plus Pressure Cooker (6.5ltr 22cm diameter) with which I've been hugely pleased: I just noted that some reviews said the seal was liable to breakage, something I have not yet (touch wood) found. I have, however, checked that this is a perfect fit - it is, as it should be, so it's now stashed away just in case.Only one problem: if the seal does go in the distant future, will I remember where I stored this? (!)

Neighbour asked me to order this product; it arrived quickly; she put it in her drawer; forgot about; came to replace the seal; it didnot fit too thick! Wish she had told me the pressure cooker was made by Tower.So product no use; and no chance of return; as she put it in the bin.........Not ordering for neighbours Again !

I purchased 2 wmf pressure cooker rings from Amazon and they arrived quickly and are genuine wmf products. I shall purchase again when I need to replace these .

I bought this item 6 month's ago. This is the third time I bought this same item on Amazon and the only time I am unhappy with this product. I have a WMF pressure cooker which I use about once a month. So after approximately 6 uses the pressure cooker is now leaking from the gasket on the side during cooking. All my previous ones lasted a couple of years each and even when I replaced them it was due to peace of mind rather than any issues such as leaks. I hope this is a one off and not representative of a deterioration in product quality.

This is a hard to get seal and this one arrived quickly and fits perfectly.

The sealing ring works great. It arrived earlier than expected.
