This is a book to be read on many levels. On one level it is the story of impossible dreams. The father is consumed with the desire to fly. Beautiful book, the story is interesting and the graphics are stunning.

I bought this for my son in law whose parenting of my grandchildren I am very impressed with, I loved the story and the illustrations are memorable. I makes for a lovely grand-dad/dad story to read to their boys, though my 4 year old grand-daughter loved it also

This book is so beautiful and poignant. While I enjoyed reading it myself, I have bought it to share with the children I teach in upper Key Stage 2. It has given us lots to discuss, and been a prompt for the children's own writing.
