An outstanding resource on Wing Chun Gongfu...
At more than 500 pages, with a generous number of clear, black and white photographs, this beautifully bound hardcover from Blue Snake Books is all you could ask from a Wing Chun manual.Author Sifu Wayne Belonoha presents the material in an engaging and simple manner, giving a detailed but straightforward overview of techniques, drills and forms. He delves into the philosophy behind the art, such as how Chinese ideas like Five Phase theory apply to Wing Chun, as well as considering wider topics such as fitness and nutrition. There is even an exploration of pressure points grouped by organ channel. All in all, a great read and excellent reference for anyone receiving instruction in Wing Chun. The accompanying second volume looks at wooden dummy and weapons forms, and delves a little deeper into theory and philosophy. Of less practical use to the beginner, it still makes for an absorbing read.

Everything you need and more, makes other Wing Chun books seem redundant
The best book on Wing Chun that I have found so far by a long shot. So much information explained so simply that even a beginner like me can understand, I definitely recommend this over all of the other Wing Chun books out there. The only downside that I can see is that the book is quite big and so it will be a little difficult to carry it around with you without a sizeable bag

i just begin reading, but i think it is ...
i just begin reading, but i think it is exactly what you need to be introduced correctly to the art of wing chun, detailed and well writtendo not expect to master martial art just by reading but it will help any practitioner and, why not, bring others to enter a wing chun course.

must have book for any student of wing chun
Extremely helpful, well written and very well presented book. I highly recommend this book to any student of Wing Chun. I also recommend Wayne Belonoha's videos, available online. I attend classes a few times a week, but his video and book (I know there is another volume but I'm nowhere near that advanced yet!) really help and supplement my learning.

Good overview
A very good overview of Wing Chun, and certainly one of the better books available. The three forms are clearly presented and accompanied by some excellent advice by someone with a clear understanding of teaching martial arts. Along with the forms, there are some very interesting sections on the philosophy behind the art. My one quibble is the section on acupuncture with doesn't quite seem to fit with the rest of the book.
