Overall decent ball good for exercising; too many complaints to recommend the ball to a friend.
I purchased this ball in December. Here is my pros and cons list.Pros:1. It has some fun game modes that can help you get in a pretty good workout while playing.2. Easier than tracking your shots manually.3. The app is intuitive, it's easy to navigate.Cons:1. Not as accurate as they advertise. If the ball doesn't slow down going through the net it will count as a miss (think high arc shots, or high bounces of the rim that go almost straight down through the net. It will count some misses as makes,2. Ball doesn't connect reliably to the bluetooth when spinning the ball sometimes it takes 4 - 5 throws3. Ball will not count some shots because it disconnects before the first shot.4. Feel of the ball (May not be a con for you, but it is super tacky. I wish it felt more like the evolution)5. It would be nice to have a web interface that you can login to on the computer and viewLooking at the pros and cons you would probably think I hate this ball. I do have fun with it when I shoot around by myself. For spending nearly $200 on a ball I am disappointed in all the items in the cons list.

Would probably buy again
Overall I am pleased. I had a little higher expectation for the app, such as a scatter-plot shooting chart, but I was more concerned with overall percentages to begin with. I used to actual keep track of makes and misses in my head, which for anyone who's done that knows it's distracting in itself to try and keep track. I love how it keeps me more engaged, and I'm less likely to throw up a half hearted shot when I know the app is tracking. Just that alone keeps me on the court longer and my head in my practice better. Sometimes a shot doesn't register (as I've seen in multiple reviews) or it will be a false-make, but i take 150 shots per day when I use the app so that's not going to mess up my stats. If i get a few false positives in a session I'll take a few lazy shots to balance it out if I'm bothered that much. I wish I had looked more into other options before jumping on this one (because of the lack of scatter-plot) but I'm still happy overall

Trust Amazons return policy not the trolling that goes on in some reviews. Even if app stops working the ball itself is great.
App is buggy but ball is excellent quality. Wilson tech support is useless, they wanted me to return it, next day iOS and Android app started working. I came out of retirement in April 2017 and started playing again for cardio. I moved to indoor gym in October and started using the Wilson X. It helped me to increase my range and free throws. Game Time is addictive, it does miss some shots that are actually good but overall great training tool.

Exactly like you would if you were taking a break
The problem I'm having is this: the App just randomly pauses. It doesn't crash. It doesn't stop. It pauses itself. Exactly like you would if you were taking a break. So I exchanged the ball for a new one, hoping it was the ball. But nope. The new ball pauses as well. I also tried uninstalling the App, signing out, everything I could think of. At first, this whole pausing thing didn't happen. It worked perfectly for about two weeks. During that time I seriously enjoyed tracking my shooting percentage. It was amazing. But imagine - you get done with a 40 minute shooting session, you walk over to the phone to see how you did, only to find the app paused after the 12th shot. So frustrating! Any tips or thoughts would be appreciated!

Nice One Wilson
Pretty good. This ball isn't 100% accurate at all but it gets the job done. Sometimes it counts baskets that you didn't actually make and vice versa , but for the first ball I've seen that connects to your phone like this, they did a pretty good job.

Apps must be improved
App is only working with ios. On android display has always to be on otherwise the drill paused (galaxy s6, 6.0.1).On both apps it's not possible to delete statistics or one trainings set. So when you find shoots it counts to your account. The is silly. Why can't I just delete his run...there is also no webportal.

Amazing technology - almost perfect
Works well but it isn't perfect. It can be dead when dribbled if it hits the floor wrong. It is ever so slightly different in weight from a regular ball. Can't tell it until you have shot with it for 30 minutes and then switch to a conventional ball.

It works well.
It is packaged beautifully. Came in quickly. It worked well for the day we had it then it was stolen at the YMCA. I would suggest it for anyone but write your name on it really big if you ever use it around anyone.

GREAT PRODUCT!
To be honest, I had to return the first ball ordered as it had an issue with the Chip. However, Wilson replaced the ball within 2 days and the replacement worked immediately. I have been using the ball to accurate measure my players shooting percentages as well as their "Hot" Areas. Loving it.FM Oxford Hoops

DON’T DO IT!
I was skeptical about the technology and bought it anyway. It actually worked for about three days before the android phone app crashed. Without the app, all you get is a really expensive ball. I have failed to get the app running on other phones. I’m too lazy to return it, but will complain about it, and now I’m bored with this too.
