Brilliant wireless mouse, smooth and incredibly comfortable
This mouse is absolutely fantastic for the price. The 2.4G wireless connection is rock-solid with zero lag, and the nano USB receiver is so tiny you can just leave it plugged into your laptop. Having 6 different DPI adjustment levels makes it incredibly versatile for switching between precise editing work and quick browsing.

Really good value for money
I bought the Tecknet mouse in January & it cost me the princely sum of £9.97. I know there are a lot of bad reviews out there, & I read most of them before purchasing the mouse. Mine is a good one: It hasn't caught fire yet, as one reviewer commented, nor has it been problematical in the least. If any faults show up, I shall update this review. It is very comfortable to use: there is a thumb recess which right-handed users will probably like. However, left-handed users will most probably not like this feature. I have a small hand, but although the moulding seems big, I think that it's just about the right size. I use a programme that I downloaded from howtogeek.com that allows users to personalise any generic mouse to their own needs. I have programmed the thumb-wheel depress function as 'double-click' & two amber-coloured buttons by the recess as 'volume raise & lower' One nice touch is the button situated beside the wheel which can vary the DPI of the mouse: great idea for gamers who like to adjust the pointer speeds (3 speeds are available). The build quality seems fine, too. The plastic is of a good standard, without the usual flow-marks that indicate poor quality. My Logitech mouse cost a lot more than the Tecknet & is of much lower quality, with decals & paint coming off after a few weeks of use. I also use a rechargeable battery, & the lower voltage of this does not have a detrimental effect on performance. Tecknet claim about 18 months battery life for the mouse, but I can't verify that yet. It does, however switch itself off when not in use & is woken by pressing one of the buttons, which will help to conserve the battery. Range is good, but for best results the dongle should be placed in line-of-sight of the mouse. For example, I get better results when the dongle is plugged into a front USB port rather than a rear one where the PC frame obstructs the signal. I have other mice(?) that have the same trouble, so it's not a fault of the Tecknet one. I can't find any negative comments to make about the mouse: It's well-made & functions very well indeed. In fact, I like it so much that I have ordered another one for use on my netbook. Recommended.

Great product for an amazing price (Great for Raspberry Pi)!!!
I purchased this mouse in April 2016 so I have roughly had it 8 months now. I originally purchased it to use at work as I got fed up off carrying a corded mouse around with my laptop to meetings and couldn't be bothered to go through the rigour of trying to get IT/management to approve a cordless mouse. I therefore wanted something cheap but yet still served my purpose. This was perfect. It's almost as cheap as a corded mouse. The quality is good (for the price) and it looks okay. If you don't use the mouse for a while it goes into sleep mode and you only have to click once for the mouse to wake up again (which it does relatively quickly). Like with most wireless mouses & keyboards it has a place to keep the usb adaptor and I have found it conserves the battery well. The on/off button on the bottom of the mouse looks a bit cheap but it's underneath so no one can see that. Advice to Raspberry Pi users: Recently I tried using it with my Raspberry pi 3 which I just bought. It was extremely laggy. I managed to fix this with googles help. All you need to do it turn polling off from the console. To do this open the software 'Terminal' and type in the following command (Without the inverted commas): 'sudo nano /boot/cmdline.txt' Then add the following text in the inverted commas below on the same line of the other text and commit the changes: 'usbhid.mousepoll=0' Then make sure you restart the Raspberry Pi and it should work. In conclusion, I would recommend buying this mouse if you are looking for a cheap mouse for general use. In fact I am going to buy another one so I have one dedicated for my Raspberry Pi. ------- Update: Downgrading my review to 4 stars. Whilst I think the product is great unfortunately it conflicts with the wifi on my laptop. I've read the technical manual for the mouse and it mentions that it can interfere with other wireless devices. My internet has been extremely slow on my laptop for months and I've just figured out it's because of this mouse. I've read that changing the channel on the router will solve the problem but unfortunately the router I mainly use my laptop with is at work so that's not possible. It's a shame you can't change the frequency that the mouse operates on.

Best value and great ease of use - a truly top draw bargain
Perfect , fabulous value, no complaints whatsoever. As long as its durable, which I wont know for a few years its the single best reason not to waste your money on a £60 mouse.

6 months in - still going strong
This is the first mouse in years that I have spent over £10 on; you don't need to spend any more on a basic cursor, unless you're a gamer (and hence need macros). It's large, but also fairly light and it isn't a drag (pun intended) to use. I have fairly large hands so I adjusted to its use quickly, but the fact of the matter is that if you are struggling to move the cursor efficiently, you can just press the DPI and that makes it far more responsive. I would suggest also changing the 'mouse speed' settings withing windows to find the perfect alignment. Aesthetically, I don't see what the other reviewers are complaining about: the rubber edges are both pleasant and practical (those who suffer from sweaty hands as a result of intense FPSs will appreciate this feature) and the lighter 'go-fast- style strip at the top looks perfectly in keeping with the product as a whole. The buttons are not difficult to press, although that's not to say that they are particularly flimsy, rather that they are well-designed, as indeed are the back/forward buttons which on some mice are damn near impossible to avoid pressing accidentally. I have rechargeable batteries in the mouse (in anticipation that it would fail) but so far I haven't needed to recharge them. Also, I can't comment on the range of the wireless above ~4 meters, but within that distance it works beautifully, albeit when the mouse hibernates it takes around half of a second to register the receiver again; nothing too disruptive when working on two screens with two different design programs from the comfort of the sofa :) And yes, like some of the other 5 star reviewers, I have dropped it on the floor, but only once (yes, by accident) I suppose the instructions could be better printed, but it's a mouse, not a rocket. All in all, I have only great things to say; I have yet to encounter any of the cons people mention and I'm very happy indeed with the product: I've recommended it to a friend who finds it impossible to use the trackpad for games but needs something wireless and portable for the laptop. I also have another mouse which is nearing the end of its life (I had to open the plastic - the middle wheel is now outside the cover, hehe) so I will be looking to TeckNet again soon. EDIT: 06/08/2013 When attempting to migrate the mouse to another pc, I discovered that the receiver was firmly lodged in the back USB port and could not be removed without destroying it. I contacted the seller and they were very helpful in replacing the receiver; I'm glad to say that their customer support is laudable.

Outstanding Tecknet
I would really this mouse, it’s comfortable in your hand and is smooth and easy to use and best of all, the after care service from Tecknet is unbeatable. I had a minor issue after delivery and they couldn’t have been more helpful. No waiting days for a reply either, just fast and efficient customer service, which is hard to find these days. 10/10 for Tecknet and their product.

Perfect!
This is the 4th one of these I've bought over the last 5 years, 2 were given as gifts and this one is to replace mine that I lost. I intend to reprogram the side buttons for volume control. It's just perfect for my hand, and the batteries last for aaaages. It's lightweight and maybe feels a little flimsier than I originally would have liked, but I travel with it a lot and it has withstood a lot of abuse! I'm tempted to buy another as a spare in case they stop selling them!

This mouse is large, and ridiculously heavy once its 2 AA batteries are inserted.
I bought this as an additional mouse so I could use it with a second laptop in between time consuming tasks. It's an interesting mouse. The first thing I noticed was its size, and to be honest I wouldn't have bought it if I realised how large it was. I'm used to smaller mice that fit in my hands without completely filling them. The next thing I noticed was the weight. I was amazed to find that it uses 2 AA batteries compared to the single AA or 1-2 AAA batteries every other wireless mouse I've had has needed. Way too heavy. You actually need to stiffen your wrist to lift it up. With batteries inserted it weighs as much as a solid, large, thick, enamel coffee mug - and by the way, it doesn't come with batteries included (which you won't know if like me, you didn't read the Technical details at the end). Basically, if I use this every day I think my wrist will start to ache. Indeed, it's been impossible to use it as a secondary mouse because it's too heavy to hold in my hand. Fitting the batteries was far more involved than expected, as the design is such that you need to to slide the flap in very carefully to avoid breaking its tab. Next, it's taken a while to get used to not hitting the extra buttons on the side because of their position. I do like the DPI adjustment facility, but don't really like the mouse wheel. It feels rather stiff and heavy, and needs too much effort and force to use, (as do the mouse buttons). It's a bit like driving on a gravelly road instead of on smooth tarmac. Finally, the mouse goes to sleep and requires a click to reactivate it. This could be a nice feature, if we users could choose to switch that facility off. Surely the mouse could be activated by simply moving it like most wireless mice, and surely no user is interested in using the button at the bottom to switch their mouse on and off? I don't really like this mouse at all, but it works and I can't honestlly justify returning it... yet. I wish I'd done my usual due diligence and read all the 1 star reviews first. I thought 31,000 reviewers can't be wrong, but guess what... Anyway, I'll wait and see if I have the major issues others complained about, or use it for a day and see, because right now, the weight makes it impossible to use if it's not resting flat on a desk, and I use a laptop for at least 10-12 hours a day in different parts of my home. It's not a bad mouse, it's just not for everyone in every situation. It could be great as a desktop mouse if its used as a permanent fixture on your desk. However, you should be able to use a mouse without thinking about it, or worrying about pressing the wrong buttons. It's promoted as a notebook mouse so I should be able to use it flexibly. My mouse shouldn't be able to dictate or change how or where I can work, and unfortunately, this one isn't really serving the purpose for which I bought it.

Nice mouse
Nice product.. if you are looking for wireless mouse then this is it.. and it's very smooth. Loved it! Although color is not bright purple as shown in pic but dull version. Actually first time I got the mouse it wasn't working properly getting disconnected.. then asked for replacement.. because sometime it's manufacturing defect.. and not the products fault.. but I love as it glides smoothly. Also is battery saving ! Since no red light is there. Definitely will last for months as it says ..

Buena compra.
