Tefal Access’ Steam DR8085

Was really glad to find this steamer. Saw an online recommendation for it, but under the Rowenta brand. I couldn't find it in the UK, except as an import. Almost gave up, when by accident I found this Tefal model, which looks identical. (Turns out a group owns both brands, and uses them apparently at random for the same device, even though both names are very well known.) The main reason I like it is that it's designed to be used. It's hand-held, with a pistol grip, modeled on the shape of an electric drill. Probably deliberately. You don't have to keep pumping the trigger to get steam. My previous steamer had a sort of indecisive shape, not quite so balanced or purposeful, and it was hard to tell whether the trigger was doing anything. Performance: while irons and steamers have different pros and cons, as a steamer per se it's effective and strong. The wrinkles fall out after a few minutes, and it's easy to position where you need. It has a decent capacity (giving steam for about about 10 minutes), the reservoir is easy to fill, it has a choice of heads (fabric brush etc). Plus - and this is really great - an over-the-door door hook, so you can quickly set up and get started. I use it at home, for which it's ideal. One thing to consider if you're looking specifically for a travel steamer is that it's quite sturdy. If you're travelling light, take a look at the online pictures of people using it to get a sense of how much room it would take in your luggage.

Delighted with my steam iron, easy to hold, long flex makes ironing curtains or beddin in situ easy to complete. Light to handle and ergonomic design for anyone with grip issues. My ironing is done in no time at all on the coat hangers. Goodbye ironing board 😊

Excellent product. It's super easy to use and it really works! Only downside: the water tank is small so you need to refill it nearly after every shirt. Very happy with it!

Well made and easy to use, but I expected more steam and better results. It really seems quite slow and ineffective for shirts. Perhaps because I use the filter they provide, but why would they provide it if it stops the device working? Instructions are lacking.

Let's be real, no steamer unless you are paying for a professional quality one for a couple £100 is going to replace an iron. But this handheld steamer is great for on the go things. I steamed my curtains, a couple shirts, bedspread, a jacket that came crumpled in the post and had no issues. Minimal spitting, i put the guard on that comes with it to help with that. Yeah, its a bit on the heavier side but what do you expect from a hand held all in one steamer? If you are worried about weight pay more for a bigger unit that has the tank on the ground. All in all very impressed with this product. It's not always an instant fix sometimes you have to go slow and over the same spot a couple times but that's no bother for me!

I got this steamer to take with me for travels cause it was time for my old one to retire, forget thats it's super big and heavy and not practical at all to take with me, IT LEAKS SO SO MUCH!!!! It is impossible to steam anything it leaves just the biggest wet marks all over the clothes! So so disappointed. I wanted to return it the minute i tried it, but since my mom threw away the box i can't. I tried it 4 times and every single time it looks like i was just under a rainstorm, the clothes are completely wet... So the only thing i can use it on are some cheap t shirts or something and then leave them hanging until they dry before i can even wear them... Very useless purchase DO NOT recommend

Very good products, easy to use and it does the job, very convenient to use, better than traditional iron, quick to iron, save the time and space, does better job than on iron board.

This steamer does a very good job its not extremely heavy to hold but if you were to steam for more than 15mins can be quite heavy on the arms... and after abt 10mins of steaming you will need to refill it with water... Takes abt 45 seconds for steam to start

Surprisingly received the steamer but didn’t work from day one. Shocked to see such poor quality control for a brand like Tefal!! The box wasn’t sealed, not even with a tape! Gives me impression that, I was sold a returned item!! Can’t blame anyone but Amazon for letting this happens. And the worst thing is, I have to wait a full week to get my money credited to my GIFT CARD!!! What mistake have I done to be penalised in this way??????

I had Tefal before with the same model and it was just amazing , but it broke so i tried to replace it with a new one from Amazon , but its just not the same it sprinkle huge amount of water instead of steam and nearly spoiled my clothes , i need to use a hair dryer every time i use my steamer , it seems that either my steamer there is something broken or wrong with it or maybe its not original ,its fake but its not the same tefal that i use to have .

I’m not happy with this product, clothes become very wet , can not direct wearing. I’m sad that I didn’t return it back
