Used this when I welded plates into the lower corners of the car windscreen which had disintegrated due to rust.Popped it between where I was welding and dashboard. Also across the opening where the windscreen had been.ZERO melting of any plastic on the dash or anywhere and no sparks into the cabin.Very impressed !

I bought two of these in order to protect the inside of my car whilst welding in new sills - I can't rate 'warmth', that's the opposite of what I want ! - These are very substantial and of good quality. They are standing up to the heat very well.

Weighty. But some of the stitching is undone. But it's a fire blanket!

Nice and heavy. Its colour is the same in the photo and I am actually using it in front of our fireplace. I have put a match flame on it, it doesn't ignite, and it started to blacken a but before it smothered the flame out. I did this twice, one time on some small fraying. So I know if any embers fall on it, I would be able to remove it without damaging my carpet, and if it was quickly done, without having to get another blanket.

Exactly what I was after. New chiminea slightly too close to composite fence and unfortunately fence started to blister a bit due to heat. Limited to where chiminea can go so bought this product as a barrier between chiminea and fence and works a treat.Chiminea about a foot from fence and blanket acts as an excellent barrier.Few grommet holes in so easy to hang in place and fence protected even from extreme heat.I'm happy.

This is not yet tested in an emergency, but it looks as if it will do the job. I bought it not for welding but to protect some stuff that's very precious to me for sentimental reasons, not money value, in the event of fire. I believe it will do the job.

I bought this as a welding blanket as that is part of its description on the page right?But the packaging that it arrives in does NOT mention being able to use it for a welding blanket.It would be nice if someone could clear this up and tell me if I wasted my money.

Really good quality and heavy duty. Used for mig welding. Def buy again
