DesignerBox Pick Up Reaching Claw, 32 Inch Blue, Foldable Aluminium Alloy Pliers, Helping Hand Tool with Anti-skid Rubber Sucker

Bought this claw 15months ago for litter picking as I walk the dog. It has picked up things ranging from old teapots, cans, crisp packets, bottles and paper. I must have picked up the equivalent of 20 bin bags of stuff with it over the months. Despite its light weight and flimsy feel in practice it proved strong and reliable until I managed to break it whilst playing a game with my daughter that was definitely not what it was designed to do. Have found it so good am buying a replacement.

All 3 lasted through a 4-hour countryside litter pick.They aren’t very sturdy due to their collapsibility but they didn’t break even when used as swords!

Overal the design feels very flimsy but my main issue is that the hinge to fold it keeps folding. There is no way to lock it into place to use the device.

I can now get things down from the top shelve - not great for very heavy items but we only keep light things on top shelf

Utter rubbish, don't buy this item - it doesn't lock in place and randomly folds

It folds nicely to fit in our suitcase.

Ich hatte mich sehr gefreut als das Paket kam und ich mein neuen Greifer für unterwegs in der Hand hielt. Die Freude hielt aber nur kurz. Erste Versuche zu Hause mit leichten unterschiedlichen Gegenständen zeigte sehr schnell, das der Greifer nicht das hält was er versprach. Er schafft nicht mal eine kleine halbvolle Trinkflasche aufzustellen, geschweige denn ein Blatt Papier aufzuheben. Die Greifer schliessen nicht richtig und dadurch flutscht der Gegenstand einfach durch.Gekauft hat ich mir den Greifer als Hilfe zum einkaufen, da ich vom Rollstuhl aus nicht an alle Gegenstände komme, wenn ich aber bei jedem Gegenstand sicher sein kann, das er durchrutscht und fällt, nutz mir der Greifer gar nicht.Auch die Klappfunktion ist so instabil, das der Greifer nicht mal zum Pfandsammeln taugt.Eigentlich eine schöne Idee, leider nicht gut umgesetzt.
