The side clips have an annoying habit of getting stuck on the in position which means when they both jam you have to dismantle the casing & fiddle around to get them working again (or the battery falls out of the drill!). Mine have lasted a year of fairly light use, the original ones lasted over 5 years of of regular use. My advice, cough up the extra £60 and treat yourself to a new drill.Update.,,,,,,Took my own advice and bought a new drill, handed all my old kit to my brother who is still using the old ni-cad batteries as he has a jigsaw & circular saw (& now two drills). Imagine my delight when I popped over last week to help him out wth a project & discovered that the batteries work fine when charged on his charger (grrrrr). For that reason I'm upping my star rating to 3 1/2- 4. They still take & hold a reasonable charge, the clips are still rubbish but if you can't be bothered to tit around dismantling them rubber bands sort out that issue.

Delivery as expected.. one battery does not fit 100% into drill one of the clips just not quite right..seem to charge ok.. power seems as new.. too early to tell if they will last.. but very good price.. time will tell u would still recommend at the price..

early days ...ie only tested but both worked and with a little more zip than older ( still workin) dewalts.... as long as they have some longevity I will be happy. I am replacing two other dewalt batteries from 2nd drill pack that lasted just over a year, so their challenge is a moderate one and only need to last 4 months using cost as a basis.

Ordered 2 batteries received only one which arrived with out any documents such as an invoice, returns, product and merchant details. Paid additional postage costs as needed for next day work so was very let down all round.

Worked ok to begin. Within a few months one became faulty; connectors not making contact very well and not charging. A year later and the second one won't hold charge now

Poor power output
