American floetrol is widely used in acrylic paint pouring as a pouring medium. It is cheaper than the pouring mediums made by the paint manufacturers. Australian Floetrol is used as a cell activator, when added to acrylic paint. Cell activator is used in one of the techniques within the art. So yes they can be used in conjunction.
