Worth Every Penny
FINALLY!!! This gets my knives sharp. It's worth every penny. I spent more money on less expensive sharpeners without any success. It's so easy to use and I absolutely love the quality of it.

4.5 out of 5! Definitely would buy again and highly recommend!
This is perhaps the best knife sharpener that I have ever used! I am a culinary enthusiast and appreciate a very sharp blade when preparing food. This is, perhaps, the simplest and most exact method for sharpening a blade for the home cook.My only criticism is that I wish that it had an adjustable guide bar/platform to keep my fingers further from the blade. For standard blades, the design is perfect! However, for smaller blades or extra large or tall blades, you have to be a little creative to protect your fingers.Overall, job well done! It’s a bit pricier than some of the other options but worth the investment. I have already recommended this product to several of my friends that also love to cook.

Saved My Wusthof
I've struggled for years with whetstones on all of my kitchen knives. The Horl put a killer edge on my Wusthof, a knife I had given up on for lack of ability to put a decent edge on it, in a few minutes. I'm sure it will handle the rest with equal ease. This was reviewed in the WSJ some time back; a Miami chef was raving about it for her sous chefs, the time it saved getting a good edge without ruining the blade. I wish I had gotten it sooner. The price put me off but, really, it's about the price of a good whetstone.

It works
I could get a better edge on my kitchen knives using my whetstones, but it usually takes at least twenty minutes per knife. They are Scandia brand. There are better knives out there, but they are much more expensive, and the Scandia are fine for all around kitchen jobs. I got the Horl Cruise 2 roller sharpener. It works. It only took a few minutes, and I had seven knives, from a large butcher knife down to the boning and paring knives and my pocketknife done. I tried them on an overripe tomato. They were all able to make almost paper-thin slices. My only gripe is that the holding block for angling the blade has only a twenty-degree holder. Maybe I read the ad wrong, but I thought it came with a fifteen- and twenty-degree block. Not a deal breaker. Twenty degrees will get the job done.

Amazingly sharp now
This is something I taught my wife to use and now my knives are razor sharp every time. So much better and I can see my wife now enjoys cooking more and less worried about cutting herself because the knife is not 100% sharp.

easy to use
Average sharpener. You'll need a whetstone for a good edge. However, on knives with no edge, this unit will produce an decent edge. But you have to work at it.
