Simple, fun, amazing value.
I bought mine for about £40 on Amazon, the price seems to fluctuate quite a bit, but that price is a bargain. You could buy it just for the figures at that price... 42 of them! I've modded my game quite a bit, if you are interested I'd head over to BoardGameGeek and do some looking at the variant and session forums for the game. I painted everything, added Wrath of Ashardalon to it (there is a guide on how to do this on BGG), made some 3D stairs and custom play mats and tuck boxes (the latter 2 are available free at BGG). I also bought some more dice, you get 1, but packs of D20s are pretty cheap. I played the first game, which is solo, and beat it... just. The game is so exciting, drawing you in that I found it very easy to just forget all the help I could have given myself. It was pure luck, I was surrounded by monsters but an Event card threw me to the furthest point of the dungeon away from everyone. Phew. I then played the second game with 2 players and got soundly beaten. Again, we got so caught up in the adventure we forgot all the help we could have used from treasure and cancelling events. The second attempt at this scenario we won, spending slightly longer calming down and making the most of some new tactics. The game says 1 hour, and its incredibly accurate. From start to finish its very, very close to that. There is a little bit of set up time, but it's not too long. It helps to have everything organized, so maybe build some compartments into the box, or bag things up. A lot of fun, good solo or with friends, not too long (which means more games), tonnes of figures.

Castle Ravenloft board game
Game was brand new and in shrinkwap. Complete, with no miniatures missing, none duplicated. The game itself is very good fun when played solo, by player more than one character. I also looks promising as a cooperative game for up to 5 people - or even 6, if one of them acts as DM, which could give opportunities for more roleplay than is present in the base game. This is not really a roleplay game, more of a dungeon crawl puzzle game. The components are excellent for the price - very thick cardboard for the dungeon tiles, and over 40 miniatures for a price of about 50 euros or dollars, which makes the game great value even for a D & D GM, who could grab the minis and discard the rest! The miniatures are unpainted, which for me added hours of extra enjoyment. The first few I painted were terrible, but my skills are improving, and the painted monsters and allies make the game even more enjoyable.

great game
I have played other D and D board games and this one is really good. It is more complex and challenging than I expected and my son (age 10) loved the variety of monsters and the great figures that come with the game. The playing pieces feel solid and good quality. I like the way each adventure is different because of the different combination of room tiles which emerge as you play. I would recommend to anyone who likes this type of game, especially if you have played other D and D board games before, although beginners may find it a little complicated to get started.

Great cooperative game
I love cooperative board games and this one if perfect for that. It great fun, you can play it alone or up to 4 players, even more if you buy later other games from this series, Components quality really did surprise me, even thought this game is few years old, game quality is really up to par. I have ordered few games on the same time with this one, but this one stud out the most and became my favorite, thought I didn't think so before gating the game. My only complain is lack of monsters variety ,but then again it can be solved with adding others games components from the series and that I think would really spice things up.

Adventuring fun for up to 5 players
Castle Ravenloft is a strategy boardgame for up to 5 players, playing co-operatively. Play on your own or with 4 other players as you delve into the dungeons below Castle Ravenloft searching for treasure, battling monsters and weaving your way through the dungeon's tricks and traps. It's very easy to learn the rules and the game comes with lots of adventures to play through. One of the best parts of the game is the modular board. As you explore, you lay down random tiles and this gives each game a completely unique feel as you'll never have the same game twice. I highly recommend this game for anyone wanting to give their imagination a bit of a workout. It's challenging, but fun.

Hard but Fun
This is a great game, but it is HARD to win. A few bad dice rolls in a row and a few bad Encounter card draws (the vast majority are bad and some are really bad) can put you in an impossible position early on. The options you have to try and control things are many, but you are constantly under pressure. This can get frustrating when you lose the same scenario 5 times in a row, but its possible to make the game easier in a number of ways that don't ruin it as a challenge. The best strategy seems to be to get to the final showdown (whatever it may be) as quickly as possible, which may be why the playing time is listed as 'One Hour or Less' If anyone says they win more than they lose they may be lying. If they aren't then i'd like to know how on earth they manage it :)

Enjoyable evenings with the kids but some adventures are really very easy.
