Good product - Build quality should be improved
This is a brief summary of this mixer grinder. We ordered this product on 10th December 2013 and received it on 18th December 2013. It is impossible to find Indian mixers in Scandinavia. We tried Ken wood Food processors to grind coconut and other spices but was left with large pieces coconut thereby leaving no chance to prepare chutney or other Indian(Kerala) style curries. Then we saw this mixer at the Amazon UK website and contacted the seller and ordered. I like this mixer but the plastic quality is at least to me is not up to the mark. The plastic body still has some rough edges. The plastic caps of the jars doesn't feel that strong. We tried grinding grated coconut for making chutney and it did well. The next thing we need to try is to make Dosa/Idli batter. I will update this post after trying that. Overall this mixer grinder is a good product and we recommend this to everyone who want to try and make Indian dishes. This mixer is very useful for that kitchen.

Awesome power for indian style grinding
2021 Update - 7 years later, this is still going strong. Just a minor issue; the plastic bit that connects the jar to the motor has snapped in the smallest jar. Other than that, it is a fantastic product Gets used very frequently. Added 1 star for being super reliable. Original Review: Was looking for a decent mixer grinder after our Kenwood packed up. Initially set my mind to buy the reliable Indian brands Preethi or Sumeet but were put off by the high price (in Sumeet's case) and unavailability in the UK (Preethi). So went ahead and bought the Premier. I'm glad that I did it. The build is very strong and the jars are decent sizes. The blades look very blunt but when you use them, it chops everything you throw at it. We pretty much use a number of spices, coconut and pulses (lentils) in our cooking every day and the mixer is coping really well. As some other reviewer said, I would have liked a longer chord but it's a minor setback. The noise level is a bit high compared to my old Kenwood but it's not too loud to disturb you. All in all, we are happy with the purchase. And it arrived within 5 days with the standard free delivery.

Amazing product.
We ordered it on Sunday evening and it arrived on Tuesday morning. Pleasantly surprised with the prompt service even on Super-Saver free delivery. The mixer / grinder is very compact. Damn easy to operate. It comes with 3 solid stainless steel jars with individual stainless steel blades. The blades do look blunt, but it does the job (grinding / blending / mixing) amazingly well and almost anything including nutmegs. Our purpose was to make chutneys, dips, smoothies, grinding dry and hard spices, dried fruits, batters for dosas, idlis, etc. And the product does a fantastic job. Before buying this one, we bought an expensive food processor but we had to return it as it was just not capable of heavy-duty stuff. The only thing we would like to change is that the blades should have been removable. But, it is not a huge issue as such (even during washing). Agreed with the other reviewer that there was no warranty card with the product. So, our verdict purely on the product is go for it!! We are really happy with this purchase.

Powerful Machine for Indian Kitchens!
I needed a mixer/grinder for my Indian kitchen and having done a bit of research, I settled for this one. The delivery itself is prompt and hassle free. Now to the product, it comes with 3 stainless steel jars with blades well-fitted in. The quality of product seems good and finish is of fairly high quality. The smallest jar is well equipped to grind down dry/wet spices, chutneys and dips. I have tried several combinations of vegetables and spices so far and I am thoroughly satisfied with the end product. I also was able to churn out butters of peanuts/almonds fairly easily. I've used the largest jar for wet grinding, mostly for idly/dosa batter (dough) and consistency of the resulting mix is as good I have ever seen. From a blender/juicer standpoint, I've seen better juicers but nevertheless does a good job. There's no in-built functionality to strain juice from pulp (doesn't separate the pith either). So you might need to get that one separately. In a nutshell, this powerful machine is highly recommended for Indian kitchens or anyone who is serious about Indian food. My only gripe about this product is that there is no information on warranty like other people observed.

APPALLING QUALITY PARTS
This mixer works -when it works! Which means, for the first couple of months, Then, you start to see the appalling parts quality: the plastic cog system in the cups and base motor will ALL break, one after another. The rubber seals will ALL come off. The lids will ALL crack. And unless you schlep across to Southall, Middx, where there's just one guy in the UK who repairs these things (as far as my research tells me), forget it. In fact don't even bother repairing it even if you can get to Southall, because it will simply break again quickly. This wet/dry mixer thing became all the rage in the Uk because of Stein's Indian food TV series. You don't NEED a wet/dry mixer. Just buy a good-quality spice/coffee grinder with at least two bowls; do the dry in one, the wet in the other- then mix together. Job done. But if you're really serious about wet/dry grinders, go Panasonic, which is actually the only solidly made one I've come across, outside of the very heavy-duty commercial ones. The SW210 Panasonic even comes with an atta kneader (for naan/roti/chapaati etc kneading). And once you've made your own naan or roti, you'll never go back to shop-bought!

Great Indian food needs great Indian mixer/grinder
This is a brilliant grinder and the second I have bought. Given the fact that it is made for the Indian domestic market, it does lack the usual safety features you would expect from a western product (so be careful). Nevertheless, if you wand to grind dry spices, make chutneys, grind idli/dosa batter or even just masalas for Indian dishes then this machine works well. Unfortunately, you cant run the machine continuously for long periods (run it for 1-2 minutes before resting it for a couple of minutes) and the stainless steel bowl does heat up. If you are serious about Indian cooking you have to buy an Indian grinder. The low clearance of the blade to the bowl means nothing is missed. You just don't get that with other products.

Brilliant, brilliant ! Just the job.
We eat lots of Indian food and I can see that this bit of kit is going to be absolutely marvellous is creating all manner of Masalas. I saw something exactly similar on Rick Stein's India and I am looking forward to testing it out. it has just arrived - (I ordered on Sunday and it arrived today (Tuesday morning). To give it a test I ground up some Garam Masala. Fantastic. The whole Nutmeg and cinnamon bark proved no problem. The spices wee ground beautifully in about a minute (probably much less). I have great confidence that this machine is going to fulfil my requirements beautifully. After years of utilising all manner of kitchen stuff, I now have a one stop shop. highly recommend !
