Amazing value for money, very simple to use and easy control of desired level of cooking, and not having a buzzer is a real plus
If you've never used and egg cooker, you really must give them a go. You see them in catalogues, shops etc, and think what a lot of faff for just boiling an egg...However, by using a precise measurement of water each time, you get perfectly cooked eggs, reliably to the texture you like. The device then turns off and goes into a keep warm setting. Additionally this really is the quickest way to boil an egg as they start cooking almost immeidately as so little water is used. This device has one huge advantage over many, that it doesn't have a buzzer so you have to rush around the house back to the cooker to switch it off, it simply goes into a keep warm mode and keeps the eggs until YOU are ready for them. Typically it takes around 3 minutes for soft boiled eggs, a little longer for hard boiled. Also this device has a much simplier instructions, and you only need to remember the amount of water for 1-8 eggs or 9 to 16 eggs (I've never needed to cook this many but assume it works well with two levels as well as one.If your into body building or just need to feed a family lots of eggs, or run a bed and breakfast this really is ideal, and mine gets used several times a day.It also comes with handy trays for making coddled or 'poached' eggs, similar to the ones you get in McDonalds, only nicer!

Good Value and Neat
Good value at low price BUT must get used to no timer - turns itself back on as it cools and can Burn its hotplate. Watch carefully and you can also steam small portions of Vegetables at the same time as eggs (two tier). Small steamer is a neat item and takes up much less space than most steamers do on your kitchen counter.

Great versatile egg cooker, but not perfect
I was going to buy an 8 egg boiler, but went for this because of the flexibility to do 16 plus poached and even omelettes. I found it difficult to poach to my liking, whites cooked and yolk runny. Will experiment a bit with this, but it seems you have to undercook the whites or overcook the yolk. Brilliant kit though and the stylish metal appearance with the blue light makes it look good in the kitchen. Everything dismantles for storage. Just remember to keep enough eggs in as your consumption will inevitably go up if you buy this!

Very handy.
I have used it, so far, for boiled eggs and poached eggs. I did the boiled eggs medium for hot egg sandwiches which was lovely, and just right. The first time I did poached eggs (for on toast) they were only half cooked, probably because I only use large eggs and they recommend medium. The second time I added extra water, I used 100ml, and allowed extra time and they were perfect. It was just a case of trial and error. However, I haven't tried the omelette. The containers for that are very small. I imagine they are designed for one medium egg omelette, and I always make a three large egg omelette and there is no way three large eggs would fit in there, which is a pity. But leaving the omelette aside I am very pleased with the machine and would recommend it to anyone with just the above adjustments. I will certainly use it a lot. Very happy with it.

Poor
Do not following the instructions manual for how much water needs to be added to cook an egg as they are incorrectI have cooked and omelette and attempted to do a soft boiled egg following the guidelines and they have needed a much larger amount of water .

Dangerous
I followed the instructions for boiled eggs. You press the power button, the light goes blue, then after so long the light goes off (no beeping so easy to forget it's on), eggs done. But what it doesn't tell you anywhere is the machine stays on the whole time. The light apparently means nothing. I just came home after using it hours ago and went to pick it up and it burnt my finger since it's still boiling hot. Apparently you have to unplug it after it's finished cooking before it actually turns off. Absolutely crazy why it would be made to function like this.

Great gadget
We use this mostly every day as our family love Eggs. So handy, strong and works quite quickly, has a tidy and fresh appearance and cooks eggs lovely, well... once we got used to it. Oil dish prior to poaching and trying various recipes is interesting.
