Record Irwin V150B Medium Duty Woodcraft Vice with Table Clamp 6”/150mm

A good vice for the DIY user and it can be quickly removed when required. Decent quality and should last me for the rest of my days. Update.. After using this vice for five years (purchased Sept 2020) I have decided to update my review. It has been a really useful vice. I have three different clamp on vices, two mechanical and this one for woodwork. I am a keen diyer and do not do woodwork for a living, only at home. The vice is hardwearing as any vice should be. It clamps evenly and the threaded bar and stabilising bars run smoothly. Over the years it has rusted slightly on the threaded bar and stabilising bars but nothing serious and it would not take much time to sand them clean and wipe them with a bit of oil. The clamp thread still runs smoothly and the turning handle can still be operated by hand. All-in-all it is a very good little vice for the diyer and I am still pleased with it. I have noticed the more recent model has a chromed round knob on the front which I presume is a quick release knob? Also I actually paid a bit more for mine five years ago than it is advertised for now. I recommend this vice, it is adequate for most diyers and you can line the jaws with plywood for delicate work.

Great vice, does the job doesn't break the bank and you can easily mount or remove it via the hand turn bolt underneath which suits my small workshop. Because it's a countertop vice the bracing angles are on top so you can only use it on top of the counter or table top you cant bolt it on from the underneath and the turn screw and rods are above the counter when mounted. I was after a counter top vice so it suits me perfectly but look at the picture first it's not a standard vice and might surprise you.

For the price this is a good buy, because you can attach it then un attach makes it portable. i like this.

Overall, a nice vice which I've attached permenantly to my workbench. Made and fitted two wooden faces for the jaws. Overall well made and has proved very handy and sturdy so far. A really useful addition to my workshop - makes life a lot easier!

Now this is a brilliant bit of kit for your workshop. Easy to use, can be removed easily and strong as an ox. I use two on my bench for longer pieces of wood that need planeing or sanding. Cant recommend highly enough.

Really great little vice. It’s has a clamp built in so you can move it from place to place. Solid well built like it’s bigger brothers. Value for money. Perfect for diy projects, and if you don’t have a permanent bench to bolt too.

For the price i paid i feel i got a very well made vice. Comes securely packaged in it's own box. It's very easy to set up and secures wood tightly. Used it to secure wood while chiseling and planing and it worked very well. This has made my work a lot easier and quicker! I love the way I can easily put it away or taking it with me to another work space. I also love the options to screw it into you work table. All in all very pleased with this purchase and would buy from "Irwin" again if i ever need a heavier vice.

New version of a classic design. The vice works well. The castings are a little more coarse , the screw thread is smaller and tommy bar is smaller. But it works just the same as the original. Clamps to the edge of most workbenches up to a couple of inches thick or even the kitchen table at a pinch. When the Mrs has gone out ..... You need to fit a couple of wooden jaws but that should be obvious.

Certainly a well made vice and a great addition to any shop, I’m certainly glad they still make this vice, I’m a big fan.

The Record Irwin V150B medium duty woodcraft vice with table clamp is a well-thought out wood vice that can be clamped to a bench edge, or to a saw-horse beam, etc, making it a very versatile holding tool in many work-area situations, the vice jaws are 6" / 15cms wide, and can accept wood clamping faces by use of the 2 provided bolt holes on each vice jaw. I ordered 2 vices, for holding longer pieces. The vice is very reasonably priced and of sturdy construction.

MORSA DI OTTIMA FATTURA! facile da installare grazie al morsetto incluso. Io l'ho installata in verticale per tenere bloccato lo stelo delle forcelle della moto che stavo revisionando. C'è la predisposizione per poter fissare delle ganasce in legno, io ho preferito mettere del neoprene da 5 mm al fine di non segnare lo stelo della forcella
