Harrisons High Potency Fine 5lb - Complete Parrot Diet, Pack of

Best bird food there is to feed caged or aviary kept birds. A small amount provides everything the main part of a healthy bird's diet should, with excellent palatability and zero chance of birds cherry-picking favourite bits as they will with a traditional seed mix. Expensive and needs refrigeration or freezing to maintain the integrity of the soluble antioxidants and freshness but we'll worth the price. A tiny amount is all that is needed per day, making what seems an initially expensive choice a much better bargain with mega healthy birds to top it off. 100% recommend for anyone wishing to increase healthiness in their birds.

Of our 4 parrots, 3 will happily have this as a matter of preference. It’s small enough for our cockatiels and not too small for our Senegal. When we told our vet this is what they get they wee please. So vet happy, birdies happy. Who could ask for more.

We keep ten parrots (indoors!), four of which eat Harrisons High Potency Coarse and one Adult Lifetime Coarse. The three smaller birds which eat this High Potency Fine do so together with some mixed seeds, and various treats, to give them a balanced and highly effective diet. (We've tried the other two with Harrisons but they remain wedded to seeds - ah well...)

Fantastic food, I didn't have any trouble changing my Keets from seed to this, it was far easier than I expected, ordered a 1lb bag to start but seeing as it worked and I could see they were already healthier, I went for the 5lb bag. No mess unlike seeds and it last so much longer. They eat quite a lot to begin with, I think as they're used to eating more food, but once the minerals build up to the level needed which they're lacking previously their intake is reduced dramatically. I will be ordering again once they have gone through this.

My Kakariki loves this, as a previous reviewer said it was much easier to move her on to this than I thought it would be. She takes a couple of pellets then a good long drink of water, so I’ve found that a good supply of fresh green food such as celery works well to supplement the pellets.

Much better value than the smaller bags.

Excellent food as recommended by my vet. Too many nuts and seeds make your bird fat apparently!
