I have tried numerous dishwasher cleaners over the past decade, and this is the only one I've found that works effectively in our dishwasher. Since we have hard water, we have to have a cleaner that is able to hold up to the task, and this one does just that. Our dishwasher is truly clean, with dishwashers coming out amazing once we do our scheduled dishwasher cleaning (I do it about every other month). It also leaves our dishwasher looking very shiny, leaving me very happy since I have a great-smelling, clean dishwasher that also produces cleaner dishes!

I have used this for years. I used to do a thorough cleaning the dishwasher myself about every year, waiting until it obviously needed it. I finally decided I had to find an easier way. What ended up working well with the least work for me, is about every two months I clean the filter system and then use this product. (Glisten recommends every month, but there are only 2 of us, and we rinse most food off.) Our dishwasher is 18 years old, is stainless steel inside, and works and looks great.One hint: our dishwasher doesn't have a super hot cycle, and I sometimes find that the wax plug doesn't melt enough to let the cleaning fluid out, even if I run the tap water until it's hot before starting. If so, I run it again after removing some of the plug with my thumbnail.

Works really well , removes soap build up , leaves it sparkling and smelling so fresh , great cleaner !!

Removed a lot of grease pretty well but some of the residue on the filter and the sides of the machines are still there. It's definitely easier to scrub it now that it's degreased though so overall not bad but less powerful than I was expecting.

If the inside of your dishwasher looks terrible and has hard water stains and other gunk, this is what you need. An occasional dishwasher treatment cycle will leave your dishwasher spotless inside. Works great.

I seen this originally in a big box store and decided to try it. It made my dishwasher look brand new. I honestly did not think a product could work so well. All the scale... Gone.. gone. gone..

A few years back my dishwasher was starting to show what looked like some sort of mineral buildup that made the wash basin of the dishwasher look particularly grey and grimy. Worst of all my dishes (especially my glassware) began to emit a not so fresh odor after I would pull them straight from the dishwasher after a cleaning cycle.These issues made me check on Amazon to see if there were any particular products that could provide a solution to the dishwasher problems that I was experiencing. The search engine took me right to Dishwasher Magic. I purchased a single bottle and I could not be more pleased with the results.The instructions are straightforward. Empty out your dishwasher, remove the cap to the bottle of Dishwasher Magic, verify the wax plug has not been broken or leaking, then flip the bottle upside down and place in the bottom rack of your dishwasher (I put mine in the utensil basket). Run some hot water from your kitchen sink and wait for the water to get hot. This guarantees that your dishwasher will be receiving hot water more immediately when turned on, which will make the wax plug in the Dishwasher Magic bottle disintegrate more quickly. Once that is done turn off your kitchen sink faucet, set your dishwasher on it's longest and hottest setting (for me I set the washer for "Pots and Pans"), then turn your dishwasher on and wait until the machine turns itself off.The results after my first use with Dishwasher Magic were pretty immediate. The basin which was once dark and slimy became clean and white, the interior of the dish machine brightened by this product. The cleaner did a terrific job breaking down the grime that had built up inside, and almost made my dishwasher's interior look factory new. As an added bonus there was a mild scent of lemon that emanated from the machine, adding an additional sensory confirmation of the device's new found cleanliness.The first real use of the machine after the initial cleaning cycle with dirty dishes gave positive results. No longer did I have tiny specks of grime laying on top of upturned glassware. No longer did I smell a not so fresh odor when I took a sip from a supposedly "clean" mug. All dishes looked great, smelled great, and all became right regarding my dishwasher.I have been using Dishwasher Magic for over three years and I suggest this product first to anyone who is experiencing any dishwasher woes regarding griminess and not so clean dishes from their current dish machine. I use a bottle once every 90 days and can probably stretch it out to four months between cleanings so a three pack probably can last you a year so long as your not doing heavy duty (daily) use. Highly recommended.

The product itself is good, but ordering it from Amazon. Twice already it has shown up damaged and leaked all over the box. This is most likely because it uses heat to melt the wax, and during the summer, it's just too hot. I usually don't mark down stars for bad shipping, but this product needs better packaging or something to prevent these leaks.
