Great value for money, all the features included. Works perfectly after a bit of troubleshooting.
I did quite a bit of research before opting for the M-Audio. I personally prefer the layout of the knobs on the top, as I don't need to reach down to figure out what is what. It lives on one side of my desk and I use it not only for recording, but as the main sound card for my PC. The 192-6 has two inputs which allow me to record vocals in stereo (coming off an effects pedal). Most importantly, it has a blend between direct monitoring and USB sound, to deal with any latency. It also has MIDI ports in case I need to hook up a MIDI keyboard/pad in the future. The quality and build are excellent. The only issue I faced was not getting any sound from my PC (e.g. playing mp3, YouTube, etc.), although I got the sound from the DAW. I found out that to fix this, I needed to select a sample rate of 48000 in the M-Audio applet. It might also be worthwhile to try different USB ports, and finally make sure you're not using any USB hubs, which can interfere with the memory allocation. Now, everything works perfectly. The 192-6 is hooked up to my desktop speakers through two TS>RCS cables as RCS are the only inputs on them. Although the 192-6 monitor outputs are TRS, this doesn't damage the interface, but you lose -6dB. In the future, I might invest in some proper studio monitors which have TRS and/or XLR inputs.Overall, the 192-6 offers more features compared to more expensive 2i2o interfaces, has very low noise and latency. Strongly recommended.

Very reasonable, great quality
I'm a fan of M-Audio interfaces, they always sound great.Headphones.First and for most, you'll need a headphone amp to get good sound levels with 250ohm headphones. The device is very slick and shiny looking. The big knob for volume control is really nice and all knobs feel solid and well made. The LED lights are hidden away until you power something which adds to the slickness. The single XLR port is at the back which is very handy because you limit the amount of wires coming from the front.Sound quality is really good and clear sounding and doesn't have any notable self noise. The build quality is metal with a glass looking plastic top.Very decent for the price, especially if you only need one instrument and one mic.

Excellent interface (with conflicts)
I love the look and feel of this interface, the build quality is top notch. I suffered from the audio stuttering as mentioned in other reviews - however I accidentally stumbled on a fix fir the issue. If I open iTunes and play any song for a few secs and the hit pause leaving the iTunes window open, I get no audio stuttering or any audio clicks, pops etc on any other audio source like YouTube, etcThis unit is obv suffering some sort of conflict with iTunes software somehow resolving the conflict - maybe iTunes is dictating the sample rate? I don’t know but whatever it is it works 100% as it should by using this method - I hope this helps others as I was beyond frustrated and on the verge of sending this unit back until I discovered this fix.Would like to know if it works for others too!?

Works with GarageBand
This is my first music interface. I bought this to use with an old iMac (2011) with Sierra iOS. I’m using GarageBand and an M-Audio Oxygen keyboard. This unit was easy to set up, iMac recognised it straight away. I’m recording drums through it as well and this too has been a breeze. The unit is nice and heavy (doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy) which is reassuring.Vet happy so far, I would recommend....!!

Before you buy
Just a heads up for anyone interested in this.I wouldn't suggest it. Because i kept getting disconnected issues and i've try the 2 cables and different use ports and this issue still remains. I have constant random audio in my headset when no sound was playing.I would suggest something better instead of this.Ps: there are out dated drivers the driver date is 2021 and its an old driver. Could be the issue. I know i'm not alone with this issue

You cannot go wrong with this audio interface
I bought this interface in January 2021. I have used it for for guitars plugged directly into the interface, and I have used it with Shure SM57 and SM58 microphones. I have been very happy with the sound quality, the ease of use, the reliability, and pretty much everything else about this interface. I have moved it all over my house and taken a few places in my backpack with no problems.I bought this interface because I wanted something that would be easy to adjust while playing a guitar or keys in low lighting. The Air interface has a giant knob to control the monitor volume, and the input knobs are easy to see and far enough apart that I can grab one without bumping the other. Everything is very spread out, and I can do what I need to do without thinking too much about the interface.I am going to upgrade to an interface with two mic inputs in the next few months. I have looked at the Air 192|6, which has two mic inputs, but am still undecided. I have been happy with the 192|4, but the new Focusrite 2i2 has some cool features and the UA Volt comes with a lot of good plugins. The Air interfaces come with some nice plugins, but they are the same ones you get for free with pretty much every other MIDI controller: MPC Beats (always free), Ableton Live Lite, Mini Grand, DB33, etc. I'd be way more excited if their interfaces came with a choice of a free plugin, because Air makes a lot of amazing effects and instruments. On a side note, if you a just getting into music production and MIDI controllers, I can't recommend Ableton Live Lite enough. It's a great choice for newbies, because there are so many how-to videos on YouTube.TLDR: this a very solid interface that does everything well

Excellent value
The M-Audio AIR 192|6 USB Audio Interface is a nice, cheaper alternative to Scarlett 4i4. Its compact design belies its powerful capabilities. With great sound quality, low latency, and versatile connectivity options, it's a must-have for musicians and producers. Solid build quality. The volume nob feels good to operate. Overall, excellent value for its price and is a great choice for both beginners and more experienced audio enthusiasts.
