Came today, plugged into old Sony Vaio Laptop and its working perfect, Played a DVD without problem. Next used a DVD -R blank disk with Nero Burning Rom, selected UDF DVD Data disk and dropped lots of files including a MP4 and started the burn, burn finished in 8 Min 38 S on my 8X (11,080 kb/s) disk reads perfect. MP4 movies playes great.Very good for the price and is working 100%, there is a second lead to use with a 5V power supply (your phone charger with USB socket) IF there isnt enough current on your USB Socket, I didnt use a power supply, the USB 2 Socket has 1A available on this old Sony Vaio Laptop, you probably wont need to use a power supply unless your device hasnt 5V available.So, lets hope this will last, the internal laptop drive was being switched on everytime laptop is on, and soon the internal drive stopped working, easy and cheaper to buy a USB drive.Note, use a UK reagion disk, not sure if drive can be made multi region, right now there is 3 changes left, make sure you dont select a region out of UK often.listed under windows 10 drivers as TSST Corps

This drive lasted one year before giving up the ghost, i opened the drive out of curiousity and discovered to my shock and horror that the drive inside was an HP drive but was manufactured in 2010 WTF, this drive was actually 7 years old when i bought it thinking i was buying a brand new drive, this should be checked as there may be many others out there that are the same, i f i had known this at the start i would have rejected this item immediately. unfortunately to open the drive you have to remove the seal they put over the drive's screwhole, if you do this they will tell you that you have changed the drive yourself. avoid , and if possible open these units when you get them and check the drives manufactured date.

If you have treasured film of your kids younger days that you want on DVD, it would be easier to make a video camera that burns straight to DVD and invent a time machine to go back in time to recapture it. This may seem impossible to do but at least it's worth trying unlike buying this piece of plastic and metal that's destined for the bin. Basically this is a DVD/CD writer that doesn't write to DVDs or CDs! Why make this product unless simple logic is beyond this company!

I bought this external DVD Writer as my son was given a load of PC games on DVDs but he didn’t have a drive on his PC. I plugged the DVD writer into the USB 3 port and it was instantly recognised and installed. The games installed very quickly without any problems, even with changing multiple discs at a time.It’s a great fast DVD drive that does exactly what it’s meant to do.

Bought this to use as a CD\DVD reader/writer.I had it plugged into a from panel USB-3 port.Came to use it to burn to CD/DVD for the first time ever today.It read discs OK but failed on every single write operation be it CD or DVD and irrespective of the burning software used.After messing about for ages I decided to try a USB-3 port on a PCI card instead.All worked fine then.

I have ordered a cd drive similar to this one before and it was great but sadly it stopped working so i went to look for another one. I came across this one. Its a little odd with two cables becausr it does work with only the usb. (It has a seperate power cable). The build quality is cheap but does the job and i only rarely need it for disk burning. I mainly have this hooked up to my surface as shown in my images and it works well. It picks it up right away and cds work right away too. Overall not so bad as i thought :)

Since Microsoft killed my built in DVD player in my desktop I purchased this very neat DVD player. Plugged it in and away it went was instantly recognised by my computer and played right away by VCL media player. Seems quite robust and does not look out of place on my desk. Does use two USB outlets but I have it disconnected most of the time and plug it in when needed. Brilliant.

Not very fast and sometimes it stops working, so I have to unplug it and start again.I would say is ok, if you need it from time to time.

Immer mehr PCs und Notebooks werden ohne optisches Laufwerk ausgeliefert. Das ist auch verständlich, da immer mehr Inhalte heute direkt aus dem Internet gestreamt werden, anstatt diese auf CD, DVD oder Blue Ray zu kaufen. Selbst umfangreiche Software kann heute dank schneller Internetverbindungen problemlos gestreamt / gedownloaded werden.Trotzdem kommt man immer wieder in die Situation ein optische Laufwerk zu benötigen. Da kommt natürlich in erster Linie ein externes Laufwerk. Warum ist das so? Das externe Laufwerk lässt sich in erster Linie einfacher installieren, denn dazu muss kein Gerät geöffnet werden. Einfach per USB anschließen, kurz warten bis Windows den Treiber installiert hat und schon kann es los gehen.So natürlich auch bei diesem Laufwerk. Aber schauen wir uns kurz den Lieferumfang an: In einer Pappschachtel mit einem Plastikeinsatz befinden sich neben dem externen DVD-Laufwerk noch ein kurzes (40 cm ohne die beiden Stecker) USB3.0 Kabel sowie ein Strom-Zusatz-Kabel von 50cm. Solch ein zusätzliches Stromkabel, über das von einem zweiten USB-Anschluss zusätzlich Strom gezogen wird, kannte ich unter USB3.0 bisher nicht, denn USB3.0-Anschlüsse liefern mit bis zu 900 mA fast doppelt so viel Strom wie USB 2.0-Anschlüsse mit max. 500 mA. Ich vermute daher, dass dieses zweite Kabel aus Kompatibilitätsgründen zu USB2.0 beigelegt wurde. Und das finde ich dann schon wieder löblich.Ich habe das externe DVD-Laufwerk von BLINGCO einfach mal nur mit dem USB3.0-Kabel an meinen Windows10 Desktop-Rechner angeschlossen.angeschlossen. Der Anschluss am DVD-Laufwerk ist "verdrehsicher". Da kann man also nichts falsch machen. Am Pc dann noch den Stecker in einen freien USB3.0 Anschluss gesteckt - und fertig. Windows quittierte das Einstecken des Steckers sofort mit dem Sound "neue Hardware gefunden" und installiert den notwendigen Gerätetreiber selbstständig. Das Laufwerk taucht sofort unter "Dieser PC" bzw. im Explorer auf und kann genutzt werden. Alles völlig problemlos.Eine eingelegte DVD, in diesem Fall "Matrix Revolutions" wurde ebenfalls sofort erkannt und problemlos und ruckelfrei wiedergegeben. Daten-DVD werden ebenso problemlos gelesen und natürlich auch geschrieben.Einziger winziger Makel ist, dass die Frontblende am Laufwerk sich manchmal löst. Aber das kann man mit einem Tropfen Sekundenkleber leicht in Ordnung bringen.Fazit:Das kostengünstige externe DVD-Laufwerk von Blingco ist ein vollwertiger Ersatz für ein internes DVD-Laufwerk. Es ist einfach anzuschließen und funktioniert absolut problemlos. Da müsste also ein externes Laufwerk her.Die Handhabung ist denkbar einfach: Laufwerk mit beiliegendem Kabel verbinden, Knöpchen drücken damit das Fach sich öffnet, rein mit der DVD und warten, dass der Mac das Laufwerk erkennt. Klappt alles einwandfrei.Ein wenig tricky war, dass das Laufwerk sich während der Benutzung nicht mehr per Hand (also mit dem Knopf) öffnen lies. Das Fach öffnet sich aber automatisch sobald man das Laufwerk auswirft. Dann kann man die DVD entnehmen.Die Qualität des Laufwerks ist in Ordnung, aber nicht überragend. Die Mechanismen sind nicht sehr fließend und beim Reinschieben des DVD-Fachs darf man von oben keinen Druck ausüben ;) sonst schließt es nicht, weil das Plastik sich verhakt.Zur Veranschaulichung habe ich ein Video hochgeladen, dass sowohl die schnelle und einfache Handhabung zeigt als auch die Macken.Alles in allem ist das Gerät für den Hausgebrauch zu empfehlen!Ich hoffe meine Rezension war nützlich für euch. ... kann dafür trotz der zahlreichen positiven Rezensionen nur abraten:1. An mehreren PC's - direkt an der USB-Schnittstelle muss zusätzlich das USB-"Strom"-Kabel angeschlossen werden - ich hatte schon andere Modelle wofür die Spannung an USB2.0 oder USB3.0 reichte.2. Alle beide Geräte haben bereits am 1. Tag das Zeitliche gesegnet - bei einem geht die Lade nicht mehr auf, mann muss mit der Büroklammer nachhelfen, das 2. Gerät wird heute auf 3 PC's nicht mehr erkannt (Überspannung schließe ich aus, da externe USB3.0-HDD's nach wie vor auf den gleichen USB-Ports funktionieren ...Wird sich wohl um "Montags"-Geräte handeln, daher retour ... ich hätte sie aber auch allein wegen der erforderlichen Stromverbindung zurück geschickt - für mich ein absolutes "NO-GO"!

Offenbar gibt es Unsicherheiten wegen der Stromversorgung. Vorweg: Bei einem stabil versorgten USB Anschluss funktioniert der Brenner einwandfrei ohne das zusätzliche Stromkabel anschließen zu müssen. Offenbar gibt es aber Notebooks (oder HUBs) die etwas weniger als 5V liefern wodurch das zusätzliche Kabel erforderlich ist. Meine Meinung: Preis/Leistung unschlagbar, arbeitet wie er soll, und immerhin besser man schließt 2 USB an als gar nicht verwenden zu können. Sterneabzug gibt es nur für das poplige Plastikgehäuse, ist aber bei dem Preis okay.

DVD Laufwerk wurde sofort von meinem Macbook Pro erkannt. Brennen einer DVD war auch erfolgreich. Laufwerk ist auch nicht zu laut. Nachdem ich mit einem Laufwerk von einem anderen Anbieter nicht zufrieden war hoffe ich, dass ich an dem hier bewertete Laufwerk länger Freude habe.

Pratico, facile da installare, si collega alla presa USB ed è pronto per l'utilizzo, esattamente come una chivetta di memoria USB. L'ho acquistato per sopperire alla mancanza del lettore CD/DVD del nuovo PC portatile.

Per il prezzo pagato fà il suo lavoro senza lode e senza infamia ... per quello che serve a me mi ritengo soddisfatto .

Tolles Gerät. Wurde problemlos von meinem Surface erkannt. Nur einstecken und los gehts. Gute Verarbeitung, leicht und damit auch gut zu transportieren

De momento no le he podido hacer funcionar. No me lo reconoce ningún dispositivo y eso de que es plug&Play y no necesita Drivers,con la unidad que me han enviado a mi,por lo menos,no es cierto. Lo voy a devolver.
