Happy to have found this transition strip. It was a bit long for my doorway, but my husband was able to cut it with a hack saw, he basically scored it and snapped it.As you can see, I needed to go from tile to carpet at the threshold. My cats had shredded the edge of the carpeting because cats don’t do closed doors! Anyway, this should prevent any more of that business.I was torn about using Gorilla Glue on the tile. I may still do it if my first method doesn’t work out, but for now, I used double sided gel tape, it’s kind of a thick silicone tape.( I’ll post a picture of it ) For now it’s holding well, but time will tell.If you have a situation like mine, get this, it works and looks good. Much better idea than replacing the carpet! P.S. I Chose silver because my door hardware is silver. Looks good.

The product is exactly as described and would work perfectly for a transition piece. However, I will be returning it because it is a little more industrial looking than I want.

Is it very solid and sturdy construction and material.?

It's ok and will work but it is a little thin.

Great for doorways where wheelchairs and walkers are used.

All the black wore off in just a couple weeks. Didn't return it as I would have ruined my floor as I used wood glue to put it down instead of using super glue as recommended
