Still being the GOAT
This cult mechanical pencil was my go-to for over 20 years until it finally gave out (I dropped it). After a long search, I decided to try the new model. What's better:The metal tip is longer now, adding extra stiffness. The shaker mechanism is improved—you no longer need a hard shake to slide the lead. What's not so good:The push button is shorter now. I accidentally pressed it, and it shot out, sending a lead and the eraser flying across the room.Overall, the new model stays true to its original design, and every penny is well spent—definitely a step above other metallic-frame mechanical pencils. This one remains top-notch.Thanks, Pilot, for continuing to craft this piece of art.

The best!
Perfect! A very expensive mechanical pencil for a plastic item but I must say that for me has became an irreplaceable over the years. Reliable, unbreakable, just the right shape and the right fit for my hand, light enough but still sturdy... I had my first one when they came out to the market and this is my forth (I still keep one in perfect condition after 10 years of use and a misplaced one that I hope to find at some point), I have never seen one breaking, I’m afraid I loss them in moves or someone borrows and never returns them back :] I was trying to find it for years as I thought Pilot stoped making them and I am ecstatic I found it. Now I can take one around and be sure that the other is still safe at home. Of course a fantastic service from Amazon as usual. Very happy!

Best there is
I bought mine in 1987, still in perfect condition, used regularly. I bought a replacement 6 years ago, just in case, but haven't needed it yet.
