This is a budget sound meter but does the job well enough for me, I just wanted an objective, consistent way to measure background sound levels in the garden when viewing properties (eg road noise). How absolutely accurate it is I have no way of telling but other reviews suggest it is OK. It seems robust, I would recommend taping on the foam wind noise cover because it comes off too easily.

I am unfortunate enough to live nextdoor to loud crackheads. I was advised to purchase this by the council to pursue a legal case against the offenders.Sort of thing you wish you didn't have to buy. But there we go. Does the job.

Well what a result, easy to use and came in a sturdy case to keep it safe.I got this to measure the noise made by various heat exchange units but the reason for the title is this.My wife’s family are Scottish and very very loud, so loud I decided to use it on them, I can now confirm that a Scottish female from the Glasgow area speaks at 88db’s on average, we did hit 92 but that was a one off when she nearly stood on the cat! The cat hit 105 db’s, poor thing. Cheers

A compact and easy use to digital sound level meter that some may find worthwhile for casual use. However, it's worth noting that it's a Class 2 rated product, and is therefore not capable of precise enough measurement to satisfy professional standards.

The meter is cheap but the material is not feeling cheap.Super easy to use with only 2 buttons on it.And you can disable the auto shut-off function with pressing on the F/S button then the power button, you should see "OFF" showing on the screen and now you let go the F/S button and it won't auto switch-off.

Made very well, looks great, very accurate for tuning studio monitors, and easy to use for the price.

The unit is solidly constructed and has good features like fast/slow reading switching from A to C weighted measures. Wish the display lit up a bit brighter but that will help keep the battery life long...and you need to toggle the buttons to know what your measuring and how cause it doesnt remember your last settings...cheers

Acheté pour ajuster au mieux les niveaux sonores de mon ensemble home cinema 5.1 .En mode lent et pondération C , c'est très pratique , je ne regrette pas du tout mon achat , c'est parfait pour régler les enceintes et avoir un rendu sonore cohérent , pour vérifier et corriger le système de calibration intégré aux amplis . 5/5 rien à dire c'est pratique , le prix en vaut la chandèle !
