I got this so I could split my headset Mixamp for the ps4 and the rest of my connections on the tv. Tv only has one optical out so I needed one feed to to my main amp and the other to the Mixamp. Works perfectly. I was concerned there may be some drop in quality but everything is exactly the same as with a single connection. Also has the advantage of letting me get a surround sound feed via the TV from Netflix Kodi etc into my headphones on Mixamp. (anyone else wanting to do this, you need to change the setting on the ps4 from the normal 'optical' priority to hdmi priority. This will feed hdmi to the tv and the tv will then send optical to the tv)

I have a TV connector for my Phonak blue tooth hearing aids which require a digital audio optical cable (toslink) and also a sound bar which also requires the same type of cable. As the TV only has one optical output I initially connected the TV connector to our soundbar and the soundbar to the TV via an hdmi cable. This worked but sound was coming from the TV and the soundbar at the same time and the remote just adjusted the sound on both at the same time. Ok at lower volumes but as the volume was increased there was a distinct echo and you could not adjust one independently. I made enquires on how to overcome this and was told about the optical splitter. This one had a positive review for the same situation I had and glad to say it works. The optical splitter plugs into the TV and both TV connector and soundbar optical cables connect to the splitter and now I am only getting sound out of the soundbar and the TV is set to mute. Excellent buy.

The kit does what it's supposed too... No discernable difference In sound quality. Used to split sound between tv, Xbox into soundbar as my soundbar seems to reject ARC function.

Not a lot to write here. It works for me My case use is that I have 1 x toslink output on my tv. I had it running to my wireless headphones via a optical to phono adapter (basically TVs seemingly no longer have analogue audio out) but also wanted to connect the tv to my amp (older so no ARC). This works a treat for me. Get my DD and DTS sound. Super pleased

Wanted to split the optical TV audio output from freesat box to both sound bar and wife's bluetooth hearing aid transmitter. Sadly the signal degradation was such that neither device would operate. The splitter optical signal inputs to 4 small fibre optic cables which are split two to each output. A quick sum shows that 4 touching small circles inside a single outer can only have 69% of the outer circle area. Split this in two and each output is only 34.5% of the signal carried by a normal single cable - not enough in my case.

Sadly I had to send this one back. As it didn't work with my set up. My mistake buy ordering a blind buy. Don't get myself wrong it could be great of you buy it for what it's intended to do, but sadly didn't work for me. Has no remote either. Also has a male end toslink connection

Plugged this superb little dongle into the single optical output on the TV and this splitter now serves the sound bar and a blue tooth transmitter. Such a simple device that has solved a very big problem. Well worth the money!

Using to take TV output and share it between an av amp and a set of headphones that use an optical input. Works as expected with no noticeable sound segregation. A simple dongle that works well for a reasonable price.

Bonjour ! Je cherchais un câble SPIDF pouvant dépanner mon ampli car un des ports était HS. Et ce câble convient parfaitement ! J'y branche un vidéoprojecteur et ma Smart TV,et les deux appareils sont pris en charge,pas besoin de switcher via un bouton : on branche et ça reconnaît automatiquement. Par contre,rien de grave rassurez vous, c'est juste qu'il ne faut pas allumer simultanément les appareils car le câble va faire passer le son de ceux-ci en même temps et c'est la cacophonie ! Bien sûr,ça n'arrive jamais d'écouter les deux sources sonores en même temps ! Pas de défaut de reconnaissance des pistes lues : AC3,DTS,EAC3 et stéréo = Ok Je n'ai pas cherché une marque connue mais plutôt un prix pas cher,et pour l'instant tout va bien. Pas mécontent de mon choix. En plus,ça fleure bon la qualité, aucun défaut apparant trouvé. Mon ampli est reparti pour 10ans(j'espère 😉) Je recommande vivement ! Au revoir.

Todo lo que envían por TOURLINE siempre pasa lo mismo, te dicen que han venido Y ES MENTIRA y tardas dos o tres días en recibirlo. y debia haberlo recibido el Viernes ( que por eso lo compre lo esperaba para el fin de semana) el producto me imagino que será bueno, como siempre pasa en Amazon, pero el transportista deje mucho que desear, correos funciona muy bien Hoy ya lo recibi, funciona OK, sin ningun problema
