Noticed the effects immediately, and haven't seen a significant drop in effectiveness since then. If you read this review in 30 days or so and I haven't updated with a fuller story, add a comment and I'll see that and update.-- UPDATE August 19, 2010 --So as you can read in the comments in this review, the initial perceived effects of sustained attention and lack of fatigue wore off within a couple months, and could well have been placebo effect. On the other hand, there were no negative effects, so if you've read about this herb online and you want to see if it works for you, I can't dis-recommend this item.For reference: I have not tried any other brands or preparations.

I do a lot of high altitude hiking in the SoCal and Eastern Sierras. Every time I went to Mt. Whitney or other 14ners and 13ners, I have different levels of altitude sickness. After trying the Rhodiola Rosea, it helps my breathing a lot above 12000 feet, this is the elevation level I start to feel my breathing. The light headed feeling, can't catch up the breath and energy loss.It also helps my recovery from strenuous workouts and hiking, especially when I do 20+ miles dayhikes.Since it's pretty safe, I usually take double/triple dosage when doing strenuous high elevation hikes to make sure I can minimize the high altitude sickness.The herb is highly used in Tibet for the same high altitude sickness reason.Highly recommend to people that have discomfort at high elevation.The price went up to $22.26 ? I paid $16.31 per bottle just few weeks ago.......a 36.5% increase ? Seems like another other brand Solaray Super Rhodiola is a much better value.

I have chronic at times not so low grade depression. I've been taking 327mg of rhodiola X2 daily. I purchased 120 327mg bottle of pills. I've been on this dose for a couple of weeks. I noticed a sharp decrease in symptoms after about a week. I attributed that mostly to the 1600mg of SAM-e I've been on for for about a wk. In the last week or so most all of my symptoms have returned. All in all I'm not sure if the SAM-e or the rhodiola has been that helpful.I'm going to exhaust the supply I have of SAM-e & rhodiola. If my current experience keeps up I probably will go back to pharmaceuticals.ThanksNorm K

Rhodiola Rosea Extract was suggested for me as a supplement to my regular routine of medicines and vitamins by my physician who has worked with me using conventional medicine, plus some things that are less "conventional", and more "complementary".I think that it has made a difference in my energy level although I can't scientifically document the "difference". I just think that it is helping. You will certainly have your own opinion, and truthfully, I wouldn't take anything without consulting with my physician, and I don't think you should either!

I bought this product because it have good reviews, I was looking something for daily energy, at the second week taking this, I felt the same every day, no energy, I feltl better taking my regular vitamins, my husband try them and he toll me the same, I am disappointed with the product, I read that the Rhodiola is very good for mental energy, but this was not my case

tablets just don't seem to work as well as capsules when dealing with herbs. They just don't seem to bet as effective. But the quality seemed good.

I heard about this product on Dr. Oz, so I looked it up and decided to try it. I was amazed at the difference I felt, I was really happy to feel happy again. I do recommend this to anyone that is feeling down, no enery and just want a little pick me up in the bedroom.
