NRS Healthcare Plastic Half-Step Door Access Aid - 11 cm / 4.5 inch Step Height

So glad I purchased this step. It's easy to set up and really sturdy. It does have a bounce to it which you can feel when you step on it but it actually makes me feel more secure as you not having to put so much pressure on your knees. The plastic mat also prevents slippage and it's wide enough to not have to worry about getting your feet to fit on it. Really good investment

I could really do with four of these half-steps (instead of just the one I have at the moment); the one I purchased is currently in the bathroom to help me step-up into a large shower. But because of it's sturdiness, and relative light weight (considering its sturdiness), I'm now thinking of getting ones for my front-door, my back-door, and having one handy in the garage if a taxi turns-up with too high a step-up to get into the front passenger seat. They are relatively expensive, but can make a big difference to one's life.

This has been a useful purchase to allow us easier access to our home with the convenient adjustable feet to achieve the correct height. The product is of a sturdy well made construction with a nice subtle spring like action as one steps on & lifts off. This makes using the step a comfortable & pleasurable experience!

The step is wider and longer than other brands therefore you will not miss the step when leaving your home and it is very stable and robust

I purchased this step seven months ago. My first thoughts were that this was well built and certainly fit for purpose.After 7 months one of the leg supports (internal to the step) has collapsed making the step dangerous.I have approached the supplier for comment and replacement unfortunately, but the response was not very satisfactory, i.e. the step was out of warranty.I suppose they are correct but as it is safety step to allow an OAP access I am very surprised it only lasted 7 months. I would have thought that this type of item was designed and built to last for a very long time.I spent a long time researching before I purchased this and was prepared to pay that extra ( it is expensive) for what looked a well built to last step.Would I suggest this step to others buyers, I am afraid the answer would be not.

Looks good. Fairly sturdy but gives a little when anyone over 10 stone stands on it. The rubber mat on top doesn't fit very well and it's obvious that the mat will wear out before the step, so I contacted the manufacturer to ask if I could purchase another mat, but was told that the mats are not sold separately. It would be slippery when wet without the rubber mat, so when the mat wears out the step will have to be thrown away. Quite pricey, so overall I would say that it's not particularly good value for money.

This step has made so much difference it is fully adjustable sturdy and now means the outside area can easily be accessed by husband who uses a stick
