It's a scam
This flimsy product has no purpose. I've been thinking long and hard about what could possibly be the proper application of this c.ap - but, there is none.*The adhesive is non-existent.*The product is see through.*The thickness is neither countertop quality, or craft-supply.I wish whoever made and sold this s.it would make and sell things in slightly too small quantities instead, or cheat in a different way. Purchasing items that cannot be used for anything just feels so bad amidst an environmental breakdown.

Thin and Tears Easily
Meh, I bought this for shelf paper for some garage shelves. This stuff is pretty thin and tears easily on install, and once on the shelf it is pretty easy to tear it just by putting stuff on the shelf and sliding it in.It does provide the desired checkered flag look for my garage shelves.You also need to figure out a system to peel the backing off while you are sticking it down as you don't want to get it sticking to itself.
