Amsterdam Standard Series acrylics primary set 5x 120 ml

Very good, intense primaries of very accurate hues. I just squeezed out a couple of dots from each tube to see how they mix and frankly, I'm impressed! Secondaries are all clean and vibrant, no apparent muddiness so these should cover pretty much anything I need. My only gripe would be that he cyan has a lot of white (PW6) in it so I think the mixed greys are always going to be a challenge but then we do have the black and white tubes so I guess it's covered. (I'm more used to mixing greys from complimentaries in watercolours...). I really like these. Brilliant, thank you! I shall enjoy playing with them...

I’ve been using the Amsterdam Standard Series Primary Set for a while now mainly for Geli printing and it’s a really solid choice, especially for the price. The tubes are a good size (120 ml), so you don’t feel like you have to be precious with the paint, which is great for bigger pieces or practice work. The colors are vibrant and mix very well together. Since it’s a primary set, I like that I can create a wide range of colors without them turning muddy. The paint has a nice creamy consistency — not too thick, not too runny — and it spreads smoothly whether I’m using a brush or a palette knife. Drying time is fairly quick, but not so fast that it’s hard to blend. Once dry, the finish looks even and stays bright without dulling too much. I’ve also noticed it layers nicely without lifting previous layers, which is important for acrylics. These aren’t artist-grade paints, but they’re excellent quality for students, hobbyists, or even professional artists who need reliable paints for everyday work. Overall, this set is great value and I’d definitely buy it again.

Very good acrylic paint

I bought these to use with a gel press plate for monotype work. Very vibrant colours, soft consistency, they actually pour out of the tube.

Perfect for me as a learner the 5 colours mix well together, shame they can't improve my art skills 😉 I also bought the magenta pink as better than the red for mixing

Since i moved to england people have been trying to convince me that red is the real primary colour and i want to punsh whoever says that so... GLAD IT IS MAGENTA ! LOVE IT !

I was recommended these acrylics for there high quality at an affordable price. They certainly are very good and seem only slight less quality than Pro Artists acrylics. In 120ml tubes, you get a lot for your money.
