Best Modern Subbuteo accessory being made today
For someone like myself that loves playing Subbuteo but doesn’t have the space for a stadium or dedicated playing space this is a must. Purists May argue that the pitch is too fast but I found flat bases and heavyweight teams are great and easy to control once you get used to the surface. I know there are probably better pitches on the market made by specialists but for the price, and I’d like me you want the Subbuteo logo on the pitch this is perfect. I found the kids love playing the hobby on this pitch too due to it’s consistency. The pitches I’ve used previously were at times unpredictable if they hadn’t been ironed just before the game but this is an absolute beauty.

TOO THIN
Way thinner than I was expecting. As such, laying it on the carpet produced an uneven surface, putting you hand behind a player ti kick the ball resulted in a dip and or mound! I guess if you have a really hard flat floor it would be ok. Too wide to go on our table. Be careful when removing teams after a match as players heads, and keepers hands can leave nasty scrapes. All in all an expensive disappointment.

Excellent pitch, poor packaging
If you enjoy Subbuteo and have only ever played on cloth pitches this will transform your playing experience. The cloth pitches that come with the boxed game are very cheap and the wrinkles and folds make it a frustrating experience for new players. In contrast this pitch is perfectly flat and just rolls out onto any hard surface. It's like going from a muddy Sunday League pitch on Hackney Marshes to the Stadio Olympico. Players slide consistently and the ball moves predictably, rewarding skilful play. A must for serious players - and for any dads trying to get their children into the classic game.The only serious criticism is the poor packaging - despite being charged more than £5 for packaging, it is in a very cheap thin cardboard box. There is no protective plastic roll so be careful when you remove it from the box to avoid damage.
