Only if you lay it down and lay on top of it. The strap probably won't wrap around the upper body. ( if you buy the strap/sleeve)

Yes, don't see why not as the strap is elasticated which means it's very flexible. It can adapt to fit pretty much any part of the body.

Q: Is this ankle strap good for wearing with shoes

It's not an ankle strap as such I wear it around my head. You can wear it around your body/back. For your ankle it would take quite a few wrap-a-rounds. It wouldn't go inside a shoe. The size should be depicted better. the pad pocket is approx 9inch x 4 & a half the length of the elastic is 19 inches length x 3 inches. :-)
