I’ve had this clear ice ball maker for over a year and tested it many times. Using filtered water and following the instructions, the ice balls always came out clear and perfectly shaped. You just have to fill it to the correct level. I didn’t try tap water, but filtered water worked great. It consistently makes four ice balls by the next day. I also experimented with adding lemon or orange peel — they weren’t as clear, but still looked great in drinks. The inserts are high quality and durable; even when I pulled them out early, they never tore. It’s compact, easy for home use, and the ice releases best if you let it sit for a couple minutes before removing. I usually transfer the finished balls into a Ziploc bag and refill the mold. Overall, great quality and very reliable results.

I have seen other reviews saying the ice is not clear, but this is not my experience. The ice is perfect every time, and very beautiful. It's a very well designed mould and the insulation around the reservoir below the moulds is evidently very good. I do need to use water that's passed through my water filter jug. If I don't do that, there is normally a small layer of cloudy ice within the spheres, but with filtered water it's very very good.

Great product suggestion use distilled water and great clear ice but you don’t need distilled water just warm tap water works Amazing

Worked well and ice balls came out clear. Pretty easy to extract and I did leave it longer than the recommended time.

Great design, use the outside chill box! Your first time might be off, by the second run you will be a pro. Good bang for the buck if you want clear ice balls.
