Simple and Effective Solution for Fixing Your Cycling Shorts
Used on two pairs of cycling shorts and have to say I am very impressed. One of the mends was very near a seam and one was a large hole on the side - both caused from crashes. It took me about 40 minutes realistically to apply to both shorts. Careful cutting was required! Because it says on the description it is for neoprene I assumed the patch would be thick but it wasn't. It took a long time to iron because I wanted to make it perfect - I definitely recommend spending a lot of time on this!Strangely, on the shorts with the hole located near the seam the patch seems to be holding up better than the shorts with the patch in the middle of the lycra, however I didn't use much of the product and after countless washes I could easily rip the patch off and reapply (much more viable than buying a new pair of shorts!)

Reasonable
Used to mend a hole on the knee in a pair of lycra cycling tights. Not the best of places as it gets the greatest flex so I expected the patches not to last. Took quite a bit of effort to get the patch to stick. First use they started to lift at the edges. Second use became worse. So have tried gluing the edges and corners to see if that holds. The main part of the patch however has stayed firm. So reasonably pleased. Probably works better on flatter material that gets less flex.

Adaptable and works
I used this to repair some lycra cycling bigtights that had been torn in a tumble. Once I'd cut a suitably shaped patch, it took two attempts to get a good fix but it now seems to be holding really well after half a dozen more rides. I'd suggest using a slightly hotter iron than recommended if you are repairing lycra, only a slightly though. No steam either.

Saved throwing garment away.
Used on Lycra cycling tights. It took a couple of attempts to get it to stick as you need to use quite a high heat, and it's likely you'll cause a bit of surface damage to the surrounding material if not careful. However, it now appears to be stuck, and it's saved me throwing them away

great repair for torn bib shorts
After a 30mph+ fall off a road bike, needless to say there were a few tears in a new set of expensive castelli bib shorts...shame to bin them when there is a lot of wear left in them.I saw reviews for this product and thought I'd give it a go...and glad I did...for less than a tenner,I've salvaged the bib shorts and this stuff is an excellent repair. The shorts have been through the wash many times since and the repair hasn't budged!!Simply brilliant and well worth the money....there's plenty material left as well for more repairs....get some bought

Good adhesion to lycra but not good enough for knees
Did a good job of patching the knee on my cycling tights however with use the edges came lose and eventually the patch was only half on. Obviously the knee is a high stretch area so I was suprised that it did as well as it did. I have applied a new patch and sewn the edges down and it is holding better now.

Ok product but no good in abrasive areas.
Not that good. My repair lasted all of two minutes but it was in a high wear region. This product is best suited to areas of low abrasion. In this day and age I think this product could be modernised to have a better applicator as it's quite fiddly to do with a paint brush/credit card.

Easy to apply, seems to stick well.
Can't speak for longevity but I crashed a lycra skinsuit and shredded the hip and parts of the arm. Bought this stuff after trawling some forums. It's remarkably simple to apply and sticks brilliantly when you get the iron temp right.I'll update after a few washes if the glue fails but I'm not expecting it to.
