Bought 3 of these about 4 months agoGreat lamps. Simple, looked classy, made light. A few weeks back the chain on one of them started to stick when turning the lamp on and off. Shortly thereafter it stopped working and not but a week later another followed suit.Our third lamp is still working but the chain is getting sticky, I fear it doesn't have long left.Definately avoiding this company in the future though im surprised more people haven't reported this problem seeing as it is present on 3/3 lamps we bought.

This lamp is quite nice. I purchased it for my windowless office to effect a warmer, softer lighting than the overhead fluorescents.It arrived in a surprisingly small box, which made it nice to carry in from the parking lot. It took me 40 minutes to assemble but then I'm very slow and methodical; a 'normal person' can probably do it in 10-15 minutes. The instructions were clearly written. All of the parts are labeled A, B, C etc., and are shown clearly on the drawings. At no time was there any ambiguity regarding the assembly.It comes with a compact fluorescent bulb. Be aware that bulbs of this type have a warm-up time of a few minutes, so don't expect full output right away. Once warmed up the lamp emits a soft, warm light that is very pleasing.These lamps are not meant to hold heavy items on the shelves. The construction is not sufficiently sturdy and the stance of the floor lamp is too narrow. The shelves are perfect for framed pictures, vases, and perhaps a few paperbacks. If you have something heavy, place it upon the bottom shelf that sits on the floor - this will serve to stabilize the unit.The chain pull on/off switch is quite pleasant in its placement beneath the lamp shade. This unit also includes two plastic ties so that the cord is largely out of sight.

Well, let me start off by saying this lamp is not very high quality. But it works for what I wanted. I needed a small floor lamp for a corner in my man cave. I liked the square style and the shelves. There are several good and several bad reviews for this lamp. I knew from the reviews this lamp was not going to be a family heirloom. I think $40.00 would be a fair price for both the seller and the buyer. I think at $40.00 I would rate this a 5 star lamp. It came in a box about 16 inches by 16 inches. You have to put it together but it is simple enough. Lights up the room pretty good and looks cool. Just a little too expensive for the quality you get.

This lamp is easy enough to put together. It is nice and light so easily moved. The shelves are sturdy enough for an alarm clock, books, whatever.The lamp comes with an energy efficient bulb which is a nice touch. I noticed that the bulb was a bit too dim for me so I bought another.The light is mellow and calming. I did not find it bright enough. I even asked customer service to provide me the white shade so I could try it out. They sent it very quickly and were so very easy to deal with. They provided superb customer service!However, even the white shade was not enough for me. I like it really bright! Even with a brighter bulb, I wanted more light. I think the shade is well made and possibly too thick to let all the light out. So, if you are looking for a nice, soothing glow, this is a good choice.This is a great company as far as I can tell, with great customer service and this is a very nice lamp!

Only problem (a SMALL one), was the final the use of the last 4 double end screws, (threads on either end). Were a little difficult to start in the female part. But once started with the use of pliers, after two revolutions, everything went well. All parts precision made, fitted perfectly.Just don't over tighten. You don't want to take the chance of female sleeves inside the wooden frames to work loose. Would I purchase it again and recommend it to a friend, YES. Soft white light LED bulb supplied. Instructions were easy to read. All total 20-25 minutes to complete. Tools needed, phillips screw driver and maybe pliers.

I am the LEAST mechanical person I know and I was able to put this together in under 30 mins, with NO HELP and only using a phillips head screw driver. MY ADVICE IS TO Please see the 4th pic that shows the letters up close, IT WILL BE EASIEST IF YOU LEAVE EVERYTHING IN BAGS AND GRAB THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST, then take things out as you need them. Also*** Be Careful with LETTER "I" which are called "THE DOWELS" They are very small (only about I") and do not look anything like you would expect "Wooden Dowels" to look like. I'm very happy with the lamp and the way it looks, its a soft light. Last pic shows that even with the shade it lights up the whole room even at night.FYI, I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY DISCOUNT FOR THIS REVIEW, I JUST REALLY LIKE THE LAMP.

I was wary of this lamp at first because I didn't think it would give off enough light since it has the cover on it. I bought two lamps, one for the living room and one for my room and they are both lovely! The lamp gives off the perfect amount of light and it looks great. I am happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this product to friends and you, the reader.
