Performs so well, I'm buying a further set
One of the best products I've bought in a long while, in that they never fail to work as intended, unlike another type of vacuum storage container which I bought from a supermarket. It's quick and easy to use the supplied pump to draw a vacuum. The lid goes down a bit to indicate there's a vacuum and - best of all - the vacuum holds for days or weeks, without any leakage or other failure. I've used the first set I bought inside the fridge and at room temperature. Example: for biscuits stored at room temperature, these containers are brilliant - the biscuits remain as fresh as when first opened. Likewise for sausages kept in the fridge, they last many days longer than if stored without a vacuum,

Good product
I've bought 12 boxes in total and am thrilled as this little invention is helping me to have a good variety of meals in the fridge and keeps me from wasting food since I cook mostly for myself. Love that we can reseal the food after taking what we need. Just a note for those buying, the food needs to be as dry as posible as any water or juice touching the valve will be sucked by it, allowing air in again. Another option is simply not making the container too full. Not much can be done, it's simple physics...Love these boxes!

They were more flimsy than I'd expect as when you suck the air out the sides squash in so not very good - but for most things they do the job ok. The vacuum pump works well

not good.. vacuum seal doesn't hold for long
I wish I had used these quicker than I did. They are useless!Pump out the air and it seems to hold up quite well.. go back after half an hour and not vacuum at all. Did the usual things.. cleaned the surfaces well especially around the suction port. Made no difference at all.

Take the pressure off "Best before" and "Use by" dates.
So much easier to use than the (now unavailable) Kilner Vacusave product. Just the simple silicone valve, with no loss of space caused by any mechanism. Plonk the pump on top, operate it for a few strokes and that's it. The rectangular shape does not waste space compared to round containers and the height fits just right between my fridge shelves - unlike a lot of products bought in jars that are a few mm too tall. Some smaller and bigger sizes would be handy. I bought 2 sets. Would make a handy present. WARNING: not suitable to give to your wife or partner as a birthday, Valentines Day or Christmas present, or unpleasant consequences could result.

Vacuum Storage Containers
These are very simple to use plastic food storage containers. The air is sucked out by a hand vacuum pump and it takes only five or six pumps to get maximum vacuum. The container shrinks about 20% in the lid and base area. The vacuum is very strong and impossible to open, without releasing the pressure on the silicon valve in the lid. The containers are sturdy and should give several years of use. Very pleased with this purchase.

Poor Design
The containers are ok, but the vacuum pump is badly designed. It doesn't locate in the seal and for anyone with dexterity problems it is awkward trying to hold it on the seal. It should have a locating lip that fits in the seal. Probably designed by someone who had been on a bender the night before.
