Great product, if it had better instructions I would have given it 5**
Great product once I figured out exactly how to remove and cut the sleeves to fit my bicycle handlebars. Instructions were really not clear at all. So useful and gives me so much more confidence when cycling on the road as I can properly assess traffic behind me. If the park that I need to ride through didn't have narrow gates that are now narrower than the bike handlebars with the mirror, life would be perfect. I have to get off my bike and do a shuffle to get my bicycle through. Great product, would highly recommend.

Universal fit plugs into virtually any bike/handlebar configuration (NOT!)
Although the blurb says "Universal fit plugs into virtually any bike/handlebar configuration", I found that it would not fit into mine properly when taken down to the smallest diameter, no rubber boots AND the hard plastic sleeve removed. The smallest diameter the stock can go is about 17mm to 18mm. I managed to get most of the stock into my handlebar, which I think is 15mm by gently banging it home with a hammer, hitting alternate sides. It doesn't go all the way in however, protruding about 2cms. As it happens, it's now solidly fixed to the handlebar and because it sticks out a bit more than it was designed to, it may be providing a slightly better view that that for which it was designed.I have a pretty standard hybrid road/mountain bike, a Ridgeback Meteor that I bought from Halfords, so I was surprised to find that it did not fit properly. Because of the problem I had fitting it, and the odd look it now has, protruding from the handlebar instead of fitting flush to the end, I've give it 3 stars. The actual mirror is OK in size, although it could stand to be a larger on the vertical, and I like the snake connection, which is covered by a concertina type rubber boot. I allows for easy adjustment. The two hex bolts around which the mirror section pivots seem to hold it snugly in whatever position it is in, while allowing it to be be folded inwards to tuck it out of the way when necessary. The longevity remains to be seen and like other mirrors I've had, it's cheap ABS so I'm expecting it to loosen up over time, especially if I'm constantly tucking it out of the way. We'll see.I'll no doubt be back to edit this at some time in the future and will update the review, to let people know how it's surviving or not, with the passage of time.[Update 17-07-2023 All in all, if you can get this to fit your bike, this is the best solution. I've tried several, supposedly, "good" mirrors now and this had consistently been the best. The way it folds inwards, with a finger's pressure, means that it can effectively be retracted in narrower spaces. The view is almost perfect. I am just about to buy an e-bike and will certainly fit it with this mirror. I just hope that it fits.]

Check it before the return date lapses!
I've bought several of these mirrors and had no problems before. I'd dropped my bike and broken one so ordered two this time so I'd have a spare. I didn't fit it straight away but when I did found that one of the fitting screw threads is stripped and can't be undone. I took the mirror to my local bike shop and they confirmed that the thread was faulty. I now have a perfectly good mirror that I can't fit and Amazon say the return date has lapsed. What a waste of money.

Good, but needs regular attention to stay in place
This is a decent mirror for cyclists and works well, but only if you remember to keep the critical joint, secured by an Allen head bolt, tight. I need to do that about once a month and, of course, usually only remember when the joint works loose and the mirror starts wobbling. Installation is easy, but be ready to strip off the rubber securing rings supplied and experiment with the right thickness for your handlebars. Three sizes of ring are supplied: I needed to remove the default size and add the thinner version. OK, but needs too much attention to be rated any more than three stars.

New version with enlarged and slightly distorted reflection and bigger blind spot.
I had an older version for many years and it broke during the last overturn of my bike from kickstands. It survived a few ones due to two joints twisting during the hit.The new version gives about 20 % enlarged reflection and is slightly distorted so during a ride vibrations make it harder to identify objects at a bigger distance. Enlarged reflection enlarges blind spot. In the old one, it was sometimes pleasant to look at the framed landscape - not any more, so it is the reason for my rating.Mounting was improved, so after some afford it is better secured in my handlebar than my old one.

Good mirror size. Be careful to fold it in when resting the bike against the wall.
I use this on the back of a tandem as it's difficult for the pilot to look over his shoulder. My previous mirror was too small and couldn't see round the rear pannier, so this is just the job. Be careful of the fitting though as we lost the first one when the tandem travelled on the roof of the car. Had to but another one so may remove it before travellingwath the tandem on the car roof.

Not as expected
Flimsy mounting system. Mirror is plastic so images are blurred…. Not as good as a proper mirror like on the cat eye bike mirrorYou get what you pay for in this case - but it does the job
