I wear Bare Minerals. I have spent an absolute fortune on these products. I would be embarased to tell anyone how much. At 60 searching for the holy grail, or my younger face". It has gone and been replaced by thread veins on cheeks,or as in scotland its known as "corned beef face" (Billy Connolly), its normally on legs but up here the wind (and the whisky) can be fierce. Only Bare Minerals gave enough cover on cheeks, although on closer inspection not complete cover as claimed. This stuff has greater cover for less product and more importantly a fraction of price! The samples are a wonderful customer service, I ordered Medium 2 and find this a good match. In summer I will try warm sand or 1 other of the 3 samples,one has olive tones, so no good. In comparison there is less "glow" in Pure Magic it is a trifle more matte, however a touch of powder luminizer can address this. If you wear powdered mineral foundation you must try this. Have immediately ordered more. Bare Minerals is oot the windae.

I am really pleased with the Medium 2 mineral foundation. It gives me a lovely natural glow, it is very light and coverage lasts all day, disguising my own personal colouring imperfections. I also have a two inch scar under my lower lip which it covers well. It is important to moisturise first (do read the instructions that come with the product).I have also tried the natural beige shade - this was too pale for me but a little bit of bronzer/blusher sorted it out. If anything this paler shade gave better coverage of my blotchy skin than the Medium 2 but I feel the Medium 2 suits my colouring better (hazel eyes and medium brown hair but with a pale skin). I feel there is a place in my make-up bag and and my life for both these shades.The product is in a smaller container than I thought it would be, but as you don't need very much I think it will last quite a while regardless.Highly recommend both shades.

This does not cover any redness on yours face. Waste of money for rosacea suffers

As I mentioned in my review of the natural beige shade, I've never used mineral make up before so I decided to try it as it wasn't too expensive. I'm pretty pale and together with the natural beige shade, I've ordered this shade as well to use it as a bronzer. And I can't be happier about it. I don't really like bronzers with shimmer in them and this one is matte and the shade is nice too. It is very easy to apply. Just don't put too much product on your kabooki brush, always shake off the excess amount and it'll give you a really smooth, flawless coverage. The other thing which makes me happy about this foundation is that it doesn't contain the chemicals that usually make the make up ingredient lists so long. I'm still young enough not to worry about wrinkles, but I've already realized that you're better off avoiding products packed with nasty chemicals that clog, damage, dry and thus age your skin faster.

only tried this once its fine could have done with a shade darker ill update when ive tried it out a few more times it arrived quite quickly

This colour is very similar to Medium Beige, just a slightly darker version with the same warmth, and it works well as a base with a bronzer to sculpt, look more natural and avoid the mask look. Having said that, there really isn't a mask effect, unlike cream foundations which I shall never use again!These foundations also have quite effective sun screen properties although I habitually wear SF50 anyway (and still tan).The Beiges, are a warmer colours and more suitable for my colouring than Sand, and the Pale Sand sample I also received along with several other samples, which are for skins with less natural pink in them.The only difference I find between the original Bare Minerals (apart from the price!), is that these seem very slightly finer, and therefore actually cover better.For a tan any darker, I think the Tan and Olive colours would work well.Lovely makeup, great finish. Very happy.

I used Avon mineral powder for few years but out of sudden could not get it any more and was forced to look for something else- found Pure Magic Minerals and tried. It's little bit different but i really like it. It was delivered fast and with very nice manual for using powder foundation, was very nicely packed and there were few samples enclosed which think was great just in case I didn't get my shade right - might be a problem from pictures only. It was very helpful and I already recommended it to my friend that used Avon before. Will buy again!
