South Park: Seasons 1-5 [DVD]

Firstly, the box & DVDs are presented in better quality than displayed online. I have some old SP DVDs and they play poorly on modern TVs (4:3 and a bit fuzzy). The first episode (the pilot) is like this but the rest of the episodes (and there's loads!) have all been remastered and are completely spot on. I'll be buying the rest.

Must own if youre a south park fan

75 episodes for £31 is great value. Though this came from the US the blu ray discs (at least of season 1-5) are region free and work fine. Shame they only sell the DVDs in the UK.

Important stuff: This is region unlocked so don't worry about the fact its an import it will play on uk blu ray players. Its remastered in HD and widescreen and looks visually almost in line with the modern day iteration. Review: It’s everything you remembered and obviously this is dumb profane humour with satire and dark humour, but in this day and age its actually aged pretty well and its nice to watch something that doesn't care if its offensive as its fully inclusive and diverse with its humour that pokes fun at anyone and anything. This is fun entertainment if you want to switch your brain off and laugh. Highly recommended

Great upgrade from the original poor quality DVD releases. All but the first episode have been reanimated by computer and are in 1.78:1 wide-screen, the first episode has been rescanned from film to HD but kept the 1.33:1 aspect ratio. Creator commentaries by Trey Parker and Matt Some have been recorded for all episodes. I was unsure when or if the UK would get a region B release and gambled on a USA import, they all however play on my unhacked blu-ray player. I do not know if they are region free or my standard UK Samsung UBD K8500 can play region A discs. Delivery only took 3 days but I paid extra for faster delivery. I am sure anybody purchasing will know if their a fan but it's great to re-watch in fantastic quality and well worth the upgrade. My only complaint as with the original DVD's is the annoying introductions from Trey and Matt but these end at episode 12 of season 2.

日本語は字幕すらありませんが洋ゲーやSNSで身につけたダメ英語力で字幕ありでなんとなく話は楽しめています。 サウスパークが日本ではPrime Videoのパラマウント+に加入しないと見れないうえにシーズン1～7までは配信されていないとの事でこちらを購入しました。 80弱のエピソード見れるのでコスパ良。 分からない単語はChat GPTに投げてダメ英語力の鍛錬にもなりました。

This review is about the bluray, not the actual show. The case is an average, nothing special case. The discs arrived OK. The picture and sound are both very good. I've had no problems playing any of the discs. If you're a South Park fan, you will not be disappointed. Most episodes from earlier seasons have been re-rendered in 16:9 HD using the original animation files so these are true HD episodes, not upscaled. They originally aired 4:3 in standard definition so these will be brand new even if you've seen them before!

In cofanetto fantastico che include le prime 5 stagioni di una serie fantastica, al prezzo a cui la trovai non potei far meno di confermare l'ordine immediatamente, con mio sommo dispiacere all'arrivo l'assenza di un doppiaggio in questa edizione mi costrinse a rimandarlo indietro. Perfetto per il resto anche esteticamente molto piacevole.
